This space has everything you need to enjoy time away from the city. Elk Moon has a secluded feel in a meadow at the top of a mountain surrounded by forest, but w/ neighbors not terribly far away. Enjoy coffee and meals inside on a basic two-burner camp stove or drive a short distance to town.
A charming and clean composting toilet is located a few yards from the yurt. It is always cleaned in between campers.

Camping made for us over 30 , warm, comfy, away from people and the city. The drive up the mountain was perfect and close enough to the city to get a bite to eat or shop. The yurt was secluded, clean and relaxing. There is a futon and a full bed with plenty of blankets, pillows and dishes/utensils. The host was kind and supplied the wood for the fireplace, soap for washing and even a power supply with a lamp for lighting. So worth the price!

Very clean and pretty views! Directions were very easy to follow to get there and there were a lot of good books in the yurt
Elk Moon was such a perfect little getaway! Close enough to Portland for a quick drive, far enough away to see the stars! The yurt and Outhouse were very clean upon arrival. We slept soundly in the comfy bed, while the rain pattered on the yurt roof. Bring additional lighting and a hatchet/kindling to start the cozy wood stove! Janna was super helpful and answered all of my questions before arriving; 10/10 would book again!
Elk Moon Yurt itself is great; comfy, quiet, and peaceful and I would definitely go back again - by myself. We had a five year old with us and there wasn't enough there to keep him occupied.
This stay was perfect, exactly what we were looking for. The outhouse was the best outhouse we have ever seen. It was extremely clean! The yurt was comfortable and clean. There were also kitchen essentials and blankets. The host was very responsive and helpful! We stayed there with our 8 month old and had a wonderful time, inside and out of the yurt. We would definitely stay here again!
Just amazing! This is the third time I have visited Jannas hipcamp yurt. The space is beautiful and very well cared for. The nature views are simply amazing. You won’t regret staying here.
Cozy and wonderful!
The yurt was beautiful. Once you get the wood stove going, it’s nice and warm. Basic cooking utensils and a camp stove. Janna’s instructions were very clear regarding directions, ventilation, and everything you might need to know to stay.
