We loved our Quail Sunrise site at Rob's Down on the Farm Hipcamp in western Oregon. It was a peaceful, beautiful, relaxing place by fir trees and farmland with a view of Mt Hood in the horizon. We and our two dogs just loved being there. Rob is the quintessentially great host. He is friendly, helpful, unobtrusive, and very warm and welcoming. We will go back as soon as we can!

The site was as described. Private, green, views of the forest beyond, the two mowed grass sites to the left and group fire pit site. The site immediately adjacent is a permanent renter, but is mostly blocked from sight by thick blackberry brambles. A large site for plenty of room to spread out. Robert, the host, is attentive, friendly and helpful at check-in, and available onsite if needed. I’ll stay here again!

This place was wonderful! Their were many spots to choose from, we ended up choosing a spot that was hidden away and it felt very private. We are definitely coming back!

This space was nicely done. Fairly level ground, green grass in front of our awning and a wood burning fireplace to use. Having a picnic table would have been great! I would check with the host if you have any slides or a large vehicle. It was a tight fit.

Robert is a gracious host. The property is laid out great with power and water available with paths to take in views of surrounding farm land and Mt Hood. We enjoyed the quiet while being a few short minutes from Sandy.

Robert was a great host. He was quick to respond to my request, and willing to accommodate an early check-in. Our Starlink worked great in our spot “Shady Blue” . Rob’s property is filled with blackberries, and other fruit trees. He allowed us to pick the fruit, and my husband even made blackberry juice. Rob was also very helpful to my husband offering to carry wood and set up the fire pit. Rob has great communication skills and is friendly. Great location approximately 30 minutes outside of Portland, I plan to stay there again in October! Highly recommend !

This was our first Hipcamp experience and it could not have been better! Rob was a friendly, welcoming host. The location was perfect - level site, quiet, private setting for evening campfires but convenient to the city for our family visit. We will definitely be back.

Great setting out in the country, yet close to lots of communities. Close for exploring Mt. Hood, Columbia River and Gorge, shopping, coffee, restaurants, food trucks, and more!
Rob is a great host and will help you get settled in. He was excellent in responding to any concerns or questions.

Lovely site. Quiet, peaceful. Robert was very friendly and communicated well. Close to Sandy and some hiking trails. Perfect visit. They let us pick some me blackberries to eat.

Robert was an amazing host. The property was beautiful. Fruit trees and all u can pick blackberries. He went out of his way to make us comfortable. We enjoyed sp using time with Robert sharing stories of our adventures. Robert made sure we were set up and had all our hookups. We will definitely stay there again. His location was also located to two beautiful towns for groceries and restaurants. Great stay

Robert is working hard to expand and/or improve his property to best serve campers.
When we arrived, he provided us with several options for parking our trailer. It was an extremely warm two days, so he offered to supply us with 110 power to run our small AC, which we gladly accepted. A hired hand was also on site to offer a number of helpful tips, as well. Very friendly folks!
It was a quiet, relaxing visit. Views of mountains in the distance were nice. We’d consider coming back again.

We loved our stay here. We stayed in the Shady Blue site and it was roomy and had a great view of Mt. Hood! This place was a blackberry farm and there are blackberry bushes everywhere - we had the added bonus of being there when they were starting to ripen. We were close to Mt. Hood and the Columbia River Gorge plus close to Portland and Gresham so it was centrally located to just about anything we wanted to do. There was an RV directly on the opposite side of us but there were blackberry bushes and some trees to give some separation so we had plenty of privacy. Be aware there is some road noise but we didn’t mind that. Since there isn’t a sewer hookup, if you need to dump before or after your stay, Work Barton Park was only about 15 minutes away and you can dump there for a fee. Robert was a fantastic host. Super friendly and helpful! Highly recommend!

It was peaceful even though it was a working property. Evenings were nice and quiet. Host was very nice. Not for anyone with kids and we liked that. No bathrooms would be a little hard if you don't have a trailer. Overall a 9 out of 10.

From our site, we could see Mount Hood from our RV’s windows. Jonsrud View point is just a few minutes drive. Remember to bring a few flower vases: there is a wonderful cut flowers shop just a short walk away with beautiful selection of lovely bouquets at unbelievably low prices. Also remember to bring couple of chairs to site outside and soak in the view.
Finally the host and everyone there are really helpful, flexible and friendly people. When you get there, just look for a small HipCamp street sign.

We loved camping here! The view of Mt Hood is fantastic and it's a wonderfully quiet setting. Our 41' 5th wheel fit well in this site and Robert gave great directions for backing it in easily. Robert was incredibly easy to communicate with and great with communication. If we're in the area again with our camper, we'd definitely stay here again!
