Bring your RV or your tent. Either way you can sit back and relax. Lots of wildlife, you may have to hike to find it or it may come to your front door. We are a frontier town so you get the feel of the old west. Some wild life you might incounter include deer, fox, coyotes, big horn sheep, ducks, geese and also occasionally a cougar so we advise our campers to be prepared.

Although we didn't actually stay there, we had to change our plans due to illness, Sandy was an extremely great host. There were fires in the area during the time we were supposed to stay with her and she went out of her way to set us up in an available guest house. Sandy did not have to make this accommodation, but it was greatly appreciated that she went above and beyond. Extremely pleased with Sandy and her communication throughout the whole ordeal.

Very hospitable host and a great remote feel! The water is definitely low in the river so there were lots of mosquitoes but that is no fault of anyones! Our two dogs loved it and one even found a calf leg to bring back to camp. Stargazing was amazing and we really appreciated the supplied toilet, trash can, and table!

Great stop along the Oregon Outback Scenic Byway! Private and quiet with a cool, refreshing creek and big sky. The site had nice touches like a fire ring with wood and a cable spool table. It is on a ranch so the drive in was a little bumpy through the field but our lower clearance rig did fine. If it was wet, that might have been different.

This is a beautiful property, and we were in a very private spot. This would be considered primitive camping, so come prepared! If you like privacy and the feeling of being away from the hustle, this is your place. The water in the creek was still nice, though getting low in spots. The site was well- outfitted with a bucket potty and a large trash can. Water was available at the main house; bring your jugs. Other items to bring include mosquito repellent and a sun umbrella if you’re hanging out for the day (there is a little shade).

Highlights were waking up to several cows just a few yards from our tent; seeing many deer, including two fawns younger than I’ve ever seen before; and of course the night sky.

Sandy was warm and welcoming. She initially described the area as middle of nowhere and lawless, but we felt welcome and had no trouble becoming pretty comfortable at camp. This is a very primitive camp and there are mosquitoes. But Sandy provided a table and a nice shady spot to set up, and even gave us an inner tube and suggestions of a good creek swimming hole when we arrived on our hot day. Our dog was in heaven sniffing around. Tons of bird activity, some bats at night (to eat the mosquitoes), and great star views as well.

Wonderful!! We came seeking relaxing peace, tranquility, wildlife and all the stars in existence- we got that tenfold!
By night we were lulled by frogs, owls and the creek. By day, we shared space with deer, geese and ducks, many birds, pronghorn and even a fox! We also got to help out on the farm side a bit and learned a LOT. This place is heaven- if there were Hipcamp awards, Sandy T. gets my nomination. She is unbelievable and is like family to us now!
