A great spot near crater lake!
It was a nice little resort with a beautiful creek running behind it. The bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. I also had a lovely conversation with the woman who was working the store (which has everything you could need) while I was there! A wonderful find!
Great campsite for families with kids! Be sure to pack bug spray, they are vicious here!
Convenient location, clean area & has canoeing for free. Had some trouble getting checked in. Reserved a camp site for 4 through Hipcamp and was told I only reserved it for 2. Despite showing the booking on my phone and the receipt where I paid $20 extra for the additional people they still wanted to charge me (without checking their hipcamp account on their computer). Really frustrating to be told I’m being charged extra but they cannot 1) look at my reservation in hipcamp 2) look at the amount I paid almost a month in advance for this spot. Person who checked me in did not seem to be having a great day. Overall, nice place but won’t be back.
I loved how clean the grounds were, and there were plenty activities for families with younger children. We loved the free use canoes, the little creek was perfect for beginners. The camp store was well stocked. The restrooms were pretty luxe for a campsite. The only downside is it isn’t really that close to Crater Lake, it’s down from the mtn, so more of a field than a woodsy camp.
Good option near crater lake
Nicely maintained spot for a variety of travelers, especially family friendly. Liked the convenience here with the general store and some nice little trails and access to the river. Seems especially good for families with young kids, but don’t expect a “secluded getaway” type of spot. Pluses for us were putting up our tent on fresh grass and felt clean and well maintained. Cons were that it’s right off the highway so bring earplugs and the bathrooms are far from the tent sites. Regardless a good option for near Crater Lake.
Love crater lake resort!!!
This is a fantastic place to stay if you are planning to visit Crater Lake. We pitched a tent which was located on a grassy meadow overlooking a beautiful river. The walking trail was gorgeous and the entire site was well suited for us and our toddler who loved the playground and wide open spaces for exploring.
