The site was great, very minimal and exactly what we expected. The only thing that I would recommend is that the chost lets people know if the water is not potable. We got geardia from the water...
This camp was the only reasonably priced one I could find for a last minute trip to the coast & it was awesome! Big field to put up tents. That’s all we needed! We left our tents up as we went to Astoria & Cannon Beach and they were safe and sound when we came back. The information packet that is by the front gate is very helpful & has some fun facts about Astoria. Thank you!
Simple camp. A field (with a lovely view) with potable water and a port-o-let. All you need. Completely out of control of the hosts was the fact that the road is kind of loud and the neighbor sounds like they are an inspiring chain saw artist but other than that it was a fine place to camp for a couple nights, particularly when every campground on the coast was booked. Hosts were kind and communicated well.
This site was super convenient from Astoria, affordable with the right amount of amenities. Kati was very responsive and helpful, although there was some confusion when trying to find the site. Otherwise, Cougar Camp is a great option for a good night's rest.
Gets the job done in a pinch. Cows surrounding the field were unexpected and a little smelly. But the grass was soft, there was water and an outhouse and other tenters there. Close to all the "cool stuff" with out having to deal with tourists or noisy RV's with their AC running.
