We are a developing eco-tour experience. Our goal is to host travelers and adventurers who are interested in regenerative permaculture, sustainable garden practices and possibly extended volunteering opportunities. At Cosmic Vegetable we love enjoying farm to table fresh meals and evening fires during the summer. Our property is at the edge of the Eugene urban sprawl along protected wetlands. If you enjoy riding bikes, you will love the network of nature bike trails that lead into town and follow along the river. Kayaking, paddle boarding and hiking also a very popular. We are exactly one hour from the coast if you would like a day adventure. 2 hours from Portland if you are traveling and would like to include our homestead to rest and recharge. . . About Each Site: . . Site 1- Ideal for guests using a van, car, SUV or small camper truck to camp out directly out of. No tent permitted at this site. Small Dog area to use for a potty spot. Access to fern ridge trail for dog walking is encouraged! . . Site 2- Our prime tree spot is ideal for campers in tents. Located in the center of the property. Be immersed in the small farm and homestead life. Views of horses in the distance and happy cows next door. We have a rooster that will help you wake up to your next adventure! During the evening birds soar above and are really nice to watch. Flat mowed grass field with flowers. Must walk in gear to site. This tree offers morning shade and during the evenings, offers shade from the heat. Parking a vehicle might be at site 1 or site 3 for easier access if not occupied by another camper. . . Site 3- Ideal for campers who want more privacy. Trucks and some cars with ability to easily back up may be allowed to access campsite by car. May also be accessible by walk-in tent camping. Great for large tents and rooftop camping set ups. Morning sun but evening cool shade. If guests want even more privacy or have a larger tent, they may be allowed to access a campsite that is walk-in site towards the back of the property not listed on the map. Ask Hosts for more details about options available according to your set up.

if you are looking for quiet place, it’s definitely not there, very close to the road and it’s loud, had very hard time to fell asleep! just be aware.
Lovely hosts & convenient location
Perfect spot for an overnight in Eugene. Located 15 minutes from U of O campus, friendly hosts and flat spot to park our rig. They accommodated a late check in and brought fresh coffee out in the morning. Sunflowers and welcome note awaited us, along with farm fresh eggs. Can’t beat the price.
If you need quiet to sleep in and don’t find roosters charming, might not be for you. Loved the rabbits and composting toilet and their joy of gardening.
Stayed here because I had to work in Eugene for 2 days and wanted to find someplace cheap that wasn't a nasty motel. Audri was super sweet, very enthusiastic and communication was good. The space we got was very comfortable, the grass was nice and soft and we were near the chickens and ducks which was a treat for me because I grew up on a small farm.
Garden did need some work though and some areas were a bit unkept, we never got to use the shower either because a hose burst while Audri was showing my husband how to use it.
I'm sure she fixed it but we opted to shower at my place of work instead the next morning and ended up staying the night at my work as well since we finished very late. So we only stayed with Audri for 1 night but if you are looking for a quick no hassle place to stay thats affordable I'd say definitely consider this place especially during Country Fair.
An exciting place to stay! It might not be the best site for all campers as the property is still very much a permaculture farm "in process", but if you're a lover of permaculture i think that its an exciting site to visit where you can see the potential, the ongoing projects, and the true passion of the hosts. As a bonus it has easy access to bike paths!
Close to town but far enough out
Audri and her partner were very welcoming and their permaculture farm is charming. We had a bit of difficulty sleeping as Site 1 is near the road and this seemed to be a favorite spot for cars and motorcycles to really let it rip...all night. I would stay here again but probably in one of the other sites in the back. We had a camper trailer so site 1 was our only option. As for elements that the host can control it was very comfortable and met all of our needs.
Great place to stay! Lovely little farm outside of Eugene, made a nice stopover on our roadtrip. Audri is a very friendly and gracious host. Our 1.5 yr old loved all the animals!
Beautiful home and space, abundant with flowers and a vibrant garden! Great communication and very flexible and accommodating hosts! In a great location, easy to find, with great trails to explore!

We enjoyed their garden tour and listening to their philosophy on how to live.
If you have a time, visit Florence you will love the place.

Small working farm in progress
SUPER NICE HOSTS. Audri, Jason and Annie were delightful to chat with. Showed us around their "farm in progress" and we talkED about their vision for the future. We had spot 3, which was private and they accommodated our little additional trailer. We came on a hot day but they had a lovely tree that shaded us for the afternoon. Thanks we will be hopefully returning in a few days.
