What a relaxing place to be. We had a lovely stay, with everything we needed to be comfortable and content. This is a beautiful farm, with lots if friendly animals to visit. Unique little adventure!!
Fantastic country getaway
What a fantastic experience. My sons and I had a terrific overnighter at the Corbett Farm. The Short Bus is super cute and cozy. Our hosts were cordial, friendly, helpful, just perfect hospitality. The grounds are fun; lots of trails nearby. And if you're an animal lover, there are chickens, goats, ducks, horses, cats, dogs, and peacocks galore. The Short Bus experience is definitely "rustic" so as long as you're ok with an outhouse you'll be fine. We will 100% visit again!!
Great base camp for hiking
We had a wonderful 4 days and 3 nights at the Corbett Farm. We used it as our base for hiking the gorge and hanging out at Rooster Rock State Park. We stayed in the bus and it was pleasant. Because it was so hot, you don't want to be in the bus in the day, but the night times cool down plenty and sleeping was pleasant. Stuart was a great host who met whatever needs we had. The property and animals were fun. We enjoyed hanging out in the yard and having the Peacocks, horses and ducks just roam around us. Petting and watching the goats was also a lot of fun.
Last minute escape
I ended up booking this stay last minute when we had to adjust plans quickly due to wildfires. We had been camping most of our trip so the bus was a huge upgrade for us and we loved it! I had such little cell phone service that I booked based on only the description and a few photos as most wouldn’t even load and I’m glad I did! My (adult) niece and I had such a great time with our adjustment to our schedule because this reminded us both so much of the farm I grew up on and Stuart truly allowed us to feel at home.
The other people on the farm were all very friendly and yet we still felt like we had enough privacy in the bus while others were around. The animals were all so friendly and loved the attention which they got plenty of while we were there. If we are in the area again, we would definitely stay as it was hard for us to leave to continue on our journey.
Again, we truly enjoyed the stay and thank you for making us feel at home, especially for me as it brought back a lot of memories that I didn’t anticipate!
Comfy, cozy, kitties :)
If you're an animal lover, this is the place for you! My partner and I were particularly enchanted by the peacocks and kitties, but there are SO MANY adorable and beautiful animals to scope out on Stuart's farm. The Short Bus is comfortable for two full grown adults and is fully equipped with a space heater & lamp to keep your stay warm and bright. Stuart was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and had suggestions for tons of spots in the area. 10/10 would return to pet Samantha the cat again!
Heaven on earth
This place is heaven on Earth for animal lovers, free range, dirt worshiping kiddos, or really anyone seeking serenity and an escape from the chaos of the city/suburbia. Stuart's farm is full of the sweetest animals you've ever met, and Stuart allows you to interact with them all. The property is large and peaceful. There is a hammok swing, a creek with a cute little footbridge, and trails that lead you through the woods and open pastures of his property. The bus itself is cute and more than a sufficient for a night (or several) away. I was actually surprised to find that there is a power cord in the bus which powers a lamp and small heater. Cute curtains give you privacy, and there is a small table with two chairs outside. My 5 year old son and I had a magical time during our stay. The only negative was that we couldn't bring the bus and Smoky the kittie home with us. 😜 Book this bus!
Our last minute booking on the bus at Corbett Farm went off without a hitch! Stuart was a great host and provided a peaceful place for us to relax in. We made friends with Smoky the cat, pet some horses, played cards on the bus when it poured and explored in and around this beautiful property when the rain held off. Thanks Stuart!
