This is a large field on the corner of SW 405th pl and SW Laurelwood Rd. There are no buildings in it, but there is a large white tent that is your site. This is your very own Big Top for your stay, guaranteeing shade and some privacy. The tent is towards the back of the field, across from the barn and shipping container then the hill continues up to my house. PLEASE DRIVE ON THE MOWED LOOP, DON'T DRIVE THROUGH THE TALL GRASS/FLOWERS!! Or park your car on the edge of the field closest to 405th. For fire danger, as well as the pollinators. NO FIRE IN THE FIELD, NO OPEN FLAME OF ANY KIND. Smoking permissible with a ashtray that contains water that is in constant use, do not even ash into the field. Fire danger is very serious across Oregon, and at this site you do not have close hose access.
The field has been seeded for two years with wild flowers, becoming a pollinator heaven. Dragonflies, Monarch Butterflies, and various Mason Bees are all visible throughout the field. It is drive-in camp site, as well as RV-Friendly site. There is a port-a-potty by the barn, you are also welcome to park near the barn if you prefer. There will be a blue tote with garbage bags in it for you to use in the field, where the mowed loop starts. If you do leave garbage, please secure it in the tote and shoot me a message that it's there on your way out.
Looking up the hill towards my house, if you see a narrow but tall blue sign, that is near the closest working spigot for good drinking water. The water comes from our well, and continues up the hill to our house to be our main water supply. Also along our driveway are a variety of fruit trees, please help yourself. There are Asian and Bartlet pears as well as choke cherries, and some apples and regular cherries on my neighbors side. Harvest any of the fruit you'd like. Also blackberries along the fence near your Big Top.
From our property one could explore multiple vineyards and nature reserves within minutes by bike or car. There is Hagg Lake (9.5 miles) and Bald Peak State Scenic Viewpoint (4.7 miles) as well as ADEA Wine, Patton Valley Vineyard, Colene Clemens Vineyard, among many others within 20 miles. We are one hour from the Oregon Coast, and there are countless hiking trails and swimming spots within a hour in all directions.

A really nice place to stay the stars or absolutely beautiful at night the fields is warm during the daytime but as the evening rolls around there's plenty of shade from some very tall cedars. I was given a tour and got to get some plums and pears to take with me for future snacks which was wonderful and I also got to see a hazelnut shrub which I've never seen in hazelnut growing before and that was very cool. No I was very cool and kind I'm super accommodating. Also they have goats which are super cute!
Easily a favorite of our trip
A very nice and easy place to tent camp. The field we camped in was mowed in sections to make sure there's ample space for tents big or small (plus room for parking). Celeste herself is a very helpful and lovely person, so don't be afraid to ask for anything you need!
With a name like stargazing field, you can be certain you'll be seeing all the beautiful stars in the sky.
Nice place to stay a night. Very quite and private. The field is open and you can clearly see stars if the weather is good. Celeste is an awesome host and very responsive to my questions.
The field was the perfect place for us to park our camper while we stayed with family in Beaverton. The rate was inexpensive and our camper was very safe. It was just as we left it when we picked it up four days later.
The host was super nice! We loved being greeted by 4 super friendly animals. There’s a port o potty available for use and a hand washing sink. The field is awesome to stay at, the view of the stars was gorgeous!
Great place in wine country
Celeste was an amazing host and her property is absolutely beautiful. She was super responsive to our questions beforehand and was a fantastic host all around.
