"Chanterelle" Cozy Forest Yurt
Quick weekend stay for a kids’ bday and it was perfect. We will come back for sure. Lots of beautiful forest trails and river views. The yurt was clean and cozy and the bathrooms were really clean too. It was nice that fire wood was provided :)

Perfect spot for us to crash for the night, super quiet and serene next to the creek. Directions were super clear, would highly recommend!

10/10!
I loved it here! We stayed for a wedding weekend and had the best time. Camp Colton is adorable. The yert was so cool, facilities are very nice and clean, there’s a pond and streams to explore. Neal was very helpful with showing us the yert and checking out. I would recommend this to everyone and can’t wait to visit again

Beautiful place, unwelcoming staff
Overall, we enjoyed the Camp Colton property. It was quiet and peaceful in a lovely forest setting. The camp is normally reserved for weddings or retreats or other large events and people can reserve cabins or the RV site to stay if they’re part of those groups. While we visited for a wedding, we also live full-time in our RV and travel the country. Given our experience, I personally would not stay again if I wasn’t there for a wedding.
The property is locked up when there is no event, so we had to remove a very heavy metal object blocking the bridge from non-wedding guests traveling on it, as well as go out and unlock the gate and unravel the chains each time we went in or out. This normally wouldn’t have bothered me, but on 2 occasions, we came back trying to get to our camper and we received an attitude from the staff member saying we couldn’t go past the bridge during events. We finally convinced her to move the metal object blocking the bridge as she rolled her eyes to move it. We were also told by staff on HipCamp where to find the laundry and bathroom, to then be told by different staff that RVers aren’t allowed to use those facilities as we tried to get into a locked door with our laundry still in the dryer. I shared that I felt unwelcome at the camp, and was given a 2 night refund and no one seemed to be interested in hearing what happened. Overall disappointing as I had really hoped for more, especially at $55 a night for an RV site… with no access to amenities.
