If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
This place is exceptional! I stayed here with my two kids (9 & 12) on a recent trip and they were delighted with the experience. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and the facility itself was fun, clean and beautiful. We will be back for sure!
We had a great experience staying here!
The staff is very welcoming and attentive;
The tent stayed dry through days of downpour;
The heater created a nice ambiance overall and kept the tent as toasty as desired;
It says they have power to the tents, and boy do they! We could have brought a coffee maker with us, there were also boot dryers and a fan available;
Although the phone service is perhaps limited, the internet is super fast so Wi-Fi calling is no problem;
They provide sheets, towels, pillows, and a nice warm duvet. We added a blanket, but mostly just for sticking our feet under while reading a book;
Firewood is provided, although most of it is wet, so some sort of kindling or fire starter is almost a must.
Things to be aware of:
The big one here is that there are two bathrooms with showers, but that’s it. If both are being used for showers, you can wait 20 minutes (or longer) to go pee! It was a much bigger issue when they were fully booked. Plan ahead!;
Camp chairs are essential, although they do provide a chair in the tent that has a flat seat and works great as a table/chair/footrest, etc. it likely would have gotten ruined outside.;
There isn’t any obvious food cleanup area and we were hesitant to use the area around the spigot because of drainage/mud/mess creation for others. We just tried to wipe items clean w a paper towel.
Overall, we had a great time and would absolutely stay again…but hopefully with a few more toilets.
After a long trip with so many changes and cancellations, it was a breath of fresh air to book a night at Windells. Jim was the most hospitable person I experienced. The tent was more than comfortable, and the skating was all time. 10/10 would recommend and go back.
This place is awesome and Jim was a awesome host. There was prepped towels, ice and even a couple waters. Quiet times were respected and everyone kept to themselves. Cell service is decent but there is WiFi, got some of my studies done with it. Will definitely be back.
Best glamping experience!
Our glamping experience was amazing! We were welcomed by Gretchen our on-site host who provided us with a tour of the property.
Gretchen was very helpful and informative to get us set up for our 3 night stay.
The luxurious canvas tent was very spacious for my husband and I to move around with ease. The bed was comfortable to sleep on and had a warm comforter.
We were also provided a sleeping bag and a space heater to keep us warm in the snowy weather in mid April. The heater did its job keeping us warm in the 30s up to 40s degree Fahrenheit weather.
Our luggage was able to be stored on the racks inside the tent. Electricity was available in the tent to charge your phones or electronic devices.
Overall the campsite was amazing. The location provided easy access to varies hiking trails and nature sites. The camp also provided a nice , clean , and quiet resting place after a long day of hiking. The bathroom is a short walk from the tent and is heated for those cold nights.
Highly recommend this campground to other adventurers.
Perfect combo of luxury & adventure
Our stay at one of the yurts was fantastic! Everything was clean and cozy; they even had some water chilled for us in the cooler full of ice on the front porch. We spent some time in the indoor workout area, and our host, Kevin, was wonderful at showing us around and explaining the mission behind the adventure park. We cooked hotdogs over the fire for dinner, and we got to meet some cool people who were in the states for skiing. 10/10 would recommend it!
