Off Grid Camping!

Barbara and Bruce are great hosts. The site was clean, serene, densely covered site with beautiful whisking pine trees. No raccoon activity when we were there end of July and the bugs weren’t bad at all. The outhouse is a beautiful cedar built structure and is very clean. We had a great time being off the grid camping for the first time with my 2 sons who are 7 and under. Wicklow Beach only a few minutes away and Coburg Beach approximately 15 minutes away. Definitely will be coming back! Highly recommended!

Wicklow woods was a great site! It has a lot of privacy. Beautiful and interesting trees. Many have developed interesting shapes and are in peculiar places. Keep your eyes open! There are a couple of short trails. The only downside is the lack of sun, but luckily we were there when it was in the 30s and humid. So the trees and shade kept us comfortable. Besides, Lake Ontario is just a short drive away with plenty of sun and spots on the beach! If you love to hang a hammock this is the perfect place! So many spots to choose from.

Gem of a Site!

Nestled among the pines. Distant sounds of trains, cars and roosters remind you that the regular routine isn't far away but this is a calm secluded sun dappled place all your own. Map and directions easy to understand. Well stocked site with Bruce stopping by the first night to make sure all was well. Our older GMC camper van had just enough clearance to navigate the road on the way in. P.S. Bonus points for the just level picnic table ever!!! :-)
