Welcome to The Forest Campground!

We have 20 Acres (mostly forested) and 4 campsites to choose from for both tent campers and RV/trailer campers.

There is plenty of space to pitch your tent and a large area for parking. If you are bringing an RV, the sites are level and are suitable for RVs 45 feet or less (you will be parking on gravel/grass). The trail to the water is quite bushy (please note, you do not have a view of the water at your campsite, you will have to walk).

Choose from multiple sites from a grassy/gravel semi-private area near the driveway or hike up the bedrock (50metres from driveway) for an amazing view of the stars and moon, or for optimal privacy, there are campsites available near the trails in the forest.

We are located right by the Rideau Canal, Lock 45 - Lower Brewers (3-minute drive). We also have many trails nearby and Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area is only a 20-minute drive. This is a great hike close to Kingston, especially in the fall. The track is also groomed for XC Skiing in the winter. This is one of many possible hikes here and takes me between 1 and 2 hours. It's a great escape if you just have a little time.

Compost toilet located in rustik stone cabin.

Campfires are permitted (firewood available upon request), pets are welcome, and potable water is available on the property. We also have wifi and cell reception!

We had a nice weekend on the property.
Stayed at a double grassed site with a huge firepit and seating.
Had company the first night and then we had the whole site to ourselves for the weekend.
We had our small trailer and used our own facilities but topped up the water from the house.
I would definitely stay again, friendly and comfortable atmosphere.
Saw some nice spots in the forest to pitch a tent as well.

Sorry to hear you had mixed feelings While no lake - the property is located along the rideau canal. The trail to the water is currently under way as it does get quite bushy in the Summer time it is easier to access Fall and Winter.

Nice spot, Marz is very helpful and accommodating.

On the down side there’s very limited electricity available and the property is in
desperate need of a clean up. There are piles of junk laying all around the property which
is sad because otherwise it would be a great place to relax .

The property itself was beautiful and lush with big trees and little ponds although in the main camp spot there are piles and piles of garbage… what we assumed to be an old landscaping business overgrown. Maybe if the space was cleaned up a decent bit I would return or recommend

Generous Host...felt very welcomed and free to roam the property. Easy pull through for RV. Good location for a stop when traveling between Waterloo region and Montreal region with a short drive off the 401.

Organized meet up and instructions upon arrival. Great options, especially up on the secluded rocks under open sky, surrounded by forest. Easy in and out. Nearby town has small grocer and great pizza.
