We have the perfect camping getaway nestled conveniently between Toronto, Kitchener/Waterloo, and Hamilton on the Niagara Escarpment.

There are 2 campsites 1 acre apart.  #1  River view campsite sits at the top of a hill, looking down onto 16 Mile Creek in a heavily forested setting and can accommodate an RV up to 24 feet (with electricity). #2 is one acre away in  the opposite secluded corner.  There is a shared outhouse between the two sites. The 2 campsites an acre apart are not visible to each other, so your group will have maximum privacy. The campsite is equipped with a fire pit and picnic table so you can comfortably enjoy your meals together. There is an outhouse close by for your use. The site is perfect for a family and can accommodate four people. Our property is virtually bugless!

On our property, you’ll find beautiful walking trails to enjoy throughout your stay and a lovely creek that flows through our property that you can spend your days fishing and relaxing alongside the banks. There is one larger swimming hole waist deep. We are also a small hobby farm and have water buffalo, cows, chickens, ducks and turkey, that you can meet.  All the animals are very friendly and enjoy pets and attention.

Only 5 minutes away, you’ll find Campbellville, a cute town with wonderful restaurants, cafes and small interesting businesses including a very good local grocer. The casino is also a 5 minute drive away.  From our property, you're only a 5-minute walk from the Kelso trails, Rattlesnake Point Conservation area, Kelso Lavender Farm, and Hilton Falls Trails.

Come and enjoy this perfect close-to-home camping getaway this summer! We look forward to meeting you soon! 8600 Appleby Line

Great experience! Wish we could stay for another day and could get to find the swim hole and go hiking nearby trails and to the beach we heard there is close by. kids loved the farm animals!

Cozy little piece of farm land, with good amenities. Outhouse, a power cord and water on demand are always great features. It was lovely to have free-range birds walking around and they mostly keep to themselves.
The male turkey tried to size me up which could be daunting if you haven't had any interactions with large birds. We were the only campers and had a very short, less than 10 word interaction with our host. It was very private and that's just fine with us.
The creek was maybe 6 inches deep so there was no relief from the heat, saved by the hose beside the chicken coop.
Altogether a good little camp with a concrete pad for your tent. Hassle free and easy.
Would return if not to just hang out with the Water Buffalo.

I would explain how close in proximity the bees are to the campsites.
That if you walk the paths of the property, you walk right past the bees.
As one who is quite allergic, and in need of immediate epinephrine if stung, the idea of honey bees is nice, but not that close.

Eve's land is located just outside of Milton, Ontario on a small hobby farm. The animals are super friendly and are very easy to approach. I spent several hours with the turkeys, chickens & geese & the cows/bison ran over to greet me a few times. There are two sites. We stayed at the site at the far side of the lot. It was far enough away from the house to feel secluded though her land is located close to a major road so unfortunately the sound of traffic was constant through the visit. The site itself was quite beautiful and right behind it was a small woods that you could explore. Overall the site was enjoyable & would be an awesome stay for families with children or more casual campers looking to interact with some farm animals. Given the very very reasonable price I would give the site a 4.5/5

Just spent the weekend here at river rock farm and me and my buddy had an amazing weekend! The animals were all super friendly. The amount of firewood you can find to burn is incredible and the host Eve was very friendly helping us get through the gate then gave us privacy the rest of the weekend. There’s a beach close by you can walk to for free and a lot of amenities nearby. If your coming and going I found it’s easiest to feed the birds right before to get them away from the gate and distract them. Will definitely camp here again

Absolutely GORGEOUS property only minutes from city amenities. Farm animals are very friendly, very peaceful, host didn't 'bother'. We ended up camped in the wrong location, so suggest more direct instructions or signage, but host was great - replied to messages quickly.

The tent sites were pretty standard and well maintained. The bathroom was fairly clean and the innovative flush system worked great. What really stood out about this camp were the farm animals, especially the extra friendly emu. The kids loved that bird! She added such a unique experience to our weekend. Another great thing that isn’t mentioned in the description is the proximity to hiking trails (the Bruce trail) and a public lake. Bring your bathing suits because you can swim in this lovely little lake only a ten minute walk away!

Bring your swim suits, the nearby lake is clean and inviting. The emu is really something special. A network of hiking trails are just minutes away.

This owner needs to be honest abt the location. It is directly between a train track, with frequent, long, noisy trains passing by, & a highway, with full-on, constant traffic, both very visible, on either side of the campsite. As animal lovers, & having r 2 young grandsons with us overnight, we were excited abt the farm, but, the very large, VERY aggressive emu that roams free, was a huge problem. It pecked incessantly at us, our camper windows, at r picnic table, even my dish water & dishes, & finally, BIT MY HUSBAND very hard on the ear while he was just sitting at the campsite! If that had happened to one of the kids it could have been very serious. And it totally prevented us from ever being able to eat outdoors. The kids, who r not timid, liked the cows & pigs that were more isolated but still touchable, but were really nervous abt the aggressive fowl that roamed everywhere.
There is a lovely creek just near the campsite, but it is not part of the property, so the only nice walking area was off limits. Otherwise, all the walking we did was thru goose, duck, chicken & turkey poo, & the cacophany of noise from those animals roaming just outside r trailer woke us at 6 a.m. & was quite annoying. We have camped for decades in a tent, but bought a trailer during Covid. We have NEVER stayed at a more bizarre place, & have camped all over N America, in many different types of venues. It was slso rampant w ticks. This place is on our "NEVER AGAIN" list!!

I am so sorry you did not enjoy your stay. I specify to everybody to let me know if they do not like the emu and he can be put in his pen. Everyone else has very much enjoyed him. The traffic noise is more apparent without leaves on the trees early in the year unfortunately. The river is totally accessible by by a gentle path a 3 min walk from the campsite from behind the house , not from directly at the campsite as explained by the arrival instructions to everyone. There is no easy path to the river directly at the site. I'm sorry you declined my offer for free camping days in trying to make amends.
