Welcome to Camping on 137 Acres!  Voted best campsite of 2022!!!

We are happy to share our land with you. Mike and I are experienced campers ourselves and avid nature lovers.  We welcome like-minded campers.  We don't mind hosting new campers, but we ask that you come with basic camping knowledge prior to booking one of our sites.  Campers should know how to set up a tent and start a fire safely.  Please read below on fire safety.

Choosing the right site for your group:

Please read over the site descriptions below to ensure you have an enjoyable camping experience.

CHECKING IN:

Check in window is between 2:00-5:00PM, but we are flexible with early check-ins.  We prefer all campers be successfully checked in before 7pm.

Campers are encouraged to pack efficiently (see our list of camping essentials) seeing as our sites are located deep in the woods, with no direct car access. Campers will be shuttled out by one or both of us, in our "side by side" & ATV.  The hike out (if walking) is about a 8-10 mins walk.

We have a well groomed and marked trail leading to all sites!

We also have a wagon for guests to borrow when checking out.  Please inquire on arrival.

***NO CHECK IN'S AFTER DARK ***

CHECKING OUT

Check out is 12 noon.  Campers are encouraged to hike out using the marked trail.  A wagon can be helpful if you have heavy gear.  Guests are welcome to borrow our wagon to carry their gear out, if they wish to check out on their own.  A shuttle ride can also be provided if needed.   We ask that campers give us at least 30-60 mins heads up when requesting a shuttle back to their car.

LEAVE NO TRACE

Campers are asked to take ALL their garbage home.  Campers who leave trash  behind will be charged a disposal fee.

OUTHOUSE AND OUTDOOR SHOWER

***NEW June 2022***

We have a clean but rustic outhouse with a composting toilet, as well as an outdoor shower for campers to use.  The toilet is a simple wood shaving system.  The shower is a manual pressurized pump tank system.  Water is heated naturally by the sun or can be heated in a pot before showering.  This unique little building is located in the woods, just a short walk from all the campsites.

If you prefer a warm shower, we suggest bringing a large pot to heat the water first.

10 CAMPING ESSENTIALS FOR A GREAT EXPERIENCE:

1) matches and/or a lighter

2) newspaper (for campfires)

3) a leak proof tent, warm sleeping bag & pillow

4) 1-2 tarps

5) a cooking grill

6) garbage & recycling bags

7) reusable items to reduce waste (remember, you have to haul it out when you leave!)

8) Consider bringing a wagon to easily transport your items back to your car on checkout

9) Coming with a pet? Bring doggie poop bags to clean up after them

10) During the warmer months, we recommend bringing bug spray to ensure an enjoyable and relatively "bug-free" experience.

PLUS ~ if you want to enjoy a warm shower, we recommend packing a pot to heat water.

Wonderful hosts and the most beautiful campsites. Loved being able to have wood delivered to my site, and there was plenty of dead wood to harvest as well. Purchasing a dozen fresh farm eggs to take home after my visit was the cherry on top. Thanks so much Annie and Mike!

We stayed at campsite #2, which was excellent. It was spacious and private and came with a fire pit / grill, as well as a table.

Annie was very kind and quick to answer any questions we had. We ran out of firewood and she brought us some more straight away.

The common washroom was very well maintained and clean.

You can tell they put a lot of work into their property and it shows. We had an incredible time and will definitely be back soon.

We stayed at site 3 and really enjoyed it. The land is beautiful, the tent and fire pit area flat, and the outhouse/shower are very clean and comfortable. Annie and Mike are kind people with a good sense of humor and a willingness to do everything reasonable to make your stay wonderful.

Site 3- nice fire pit with a couple of nice stumps & a grill hanging nearby. The paths are visible on 2-3 sides, but no other tent site is visible from here. The toilet/shower is a very quick walk, but not visible from here. Overall the privacy is pretty good.

Had a really awesome time camping with Annie & Mike on 137 Acres! Went with a group of university friends and they were super nice hosts - very accommodating, friendly, and fun! We had one of the camp sites on the water and it was really nice. 2 different camp fire spots and they even had a nice wooden table made that could fit about 8 people. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice camping weekend not far from Guelph/Toronto.
