Here you have an amazing view of the Madawaska valley, as you camp in the meadow on the first (somewhat) level part of the forest. The entire hillside is a pine and hardwood forest with abundant wildlife displaying the tranquility of the valley. You are literally in a meadow in the forest so your site is private and secluded.  The only sound is an occasional ATV on the nearby trail.

There are two outdoor showers an outhouse and a composting toilet. There are two fire pits and outdoor eating areas and for a few extra dollars we will provide breakfast as well.

If you like strolling through the forest, bird and butterfly watching and quiet serenity this is a great place for you.

There are plenty of paddling options, white water, rivers, lakes, hiking, caves and artist studio tours, as well as several local beaches, bridge jumping (amazing at sunset) great Saturday morning farmers market, a fun local waterside bar, and great restaurant and laundrymat in town.

We are in a very quiet and secluded area, but have everything you need very close by, including 40 minutes from the East Gate of Algonquin Park.

You can also have a work/stay option if you would like to contribute to developing the property and amenities (animal fencing, garden, developing campsites)

There is a treatment studio/zen den for acupuncture and Japanese bodywork, and mineral water hottub, rock bathing detox, and meditation.

Lisa's land is absolutely perfect. She has open fields and lots of forest and an amazing view! She was so welcoming and we shared great conversation and she's done a lot of work to make her property very versatile for different styles of travel while offering comforts like an outhouse and shower. She also is a skilled healer and has really nice optional add-ons to treat yourself and relax while on her property!

With a few covered areas, it was nice to hideaway from the rain and enjoy morning coffee under the overhang of a tent! She's equipped with over 20 years of experience and you can't find a location like this in the city!Lisa offers many eastern healing treatments like acupuncture in one of her stunning canvas tents. Worth investigating.Lisa offers luxurious hot tub and mineral soaks, another reason to come here for more than a getaway, but a healing experience!

Wonderful spot to camp, easy to find. A peaceful, quiet, starry night made for a great experience. Lisa met me at our agreed time and showed me the grounds. Where I stayed is tucked away up a hill, secluded but close by. Was just there for a quick overnight and early departure, but I would come back again. Lisa clearly loves her property, I think you will too!

Lisa was welcoming right from the start! She was transparent about the development of the property as a retreat and other amenities available. You can see directly that she has knowledge of the area and the possible things to do around Combermere. Her breakfast were tremendous and are more than complete :)

Oh my gosh! The beautiful deer that greeted us as we pulled up to this magical land of fireflies, lush forest and grassy meadows set the tone for our 3 night stay. Very special land and enchanted with the almost deserted beach 20 min away. Falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the gurgling tiny stream running through the property was idyllic. Want to move here!!
