Settle in to our unique valley in Muskoka at Run Wild Farm! Lots of exploring to do on 15 acres of field, trees and rock nestled along a Sage Creek and a healthy active pond where Great Blue Herons, Mallards and Canada Geese all come to visit. You might spot a beaver across the "Bridge to Neverland" that spans the creek (or if you use your imagination - Tinker Bell playing with the fireflies in June!) A whimsicle .5 km hike through Neverland transports you to another place. There are no neighbours within sight. You can take the opportunity to unwind and let the frogs sing you to sleep, or you can connect with some WiFi while your here if your site is in range ;).
The pond is a wonderful place to unwind and watch the sky be painted pink and purple in some amazing sunsets. Ducks and chickens roam the property and horses enjoy visits from the paddock, but are known to go where they wish at times once they find an escape route. Wild raspberries and blackberries can be found around the property in mid-summer and a few blueberries atop of Blueberry Rock, another little .5km hike.
August is dragonfly season and the sky becomes filled with hundreds of these creatures around the property at dusk. You're sure to see Monarch Butterflies as we have a healthy milkweed field. Collect your own firewood from the property without charge or purchase some so it's waiting for you.
You can even put your campfire wood to good use and fire up the wood-fired barrel sauna and take a dip in our little above-ground pool. Farm fresh rainbow eggs are available for purchase as well.
Ten minutes from the town of Bracebridge, twenty minutes from Huntsville. Surrounded by beaches, lakes, and water for fishing, swimming, and boating. One adult and one child kayak available for a rental fee, as well as a canoe, or simply paddle around the pond while you are here at no cost. Please, all pets need to be leashed as we have our own farm dog and free-ranging chickens that simply look like uncooked chicken nuggets to unfamiliar dogs.
The fall colours in Muskoka are unparalleled. The trees surrounding you transform into a vibrant display of oranges, reds, and yellows sure to bring you back to nature.

Great stay! tranquil is accurate
Tranquil is definitely the word to describe this peice of land.
Heather was very accommodating for anything we may have needed. She even provided some information for some near-by adventures.
The animals did roam free on occasion and were very friendly and beautiful.
Thank you for the wonderful experience, will be back in the future without a doubt. 10/10
Very pretty and spacious property, and we loved the animal company while hanging out around our site!My friend and I booked a last minute weekend trip to Bracebridge and Heather was very helpful through the whole process, and she even gave us trail and sightseeing recommendations!
A special stay
A beautiful piece of property and a lovely host. We really enjoyed our stay at the farm. The animals were such a huge hit for our kids. And heather was absolutely wonderful! Thank you!
We spent a night here and Heather was great. We were there midweek and had the place to ourselves. The horses were friendly and came to the fence to say high, the 2 ducks are hilarious.
One thing to note if you’re in a high setup (we were 12.5’) there is a tree on the way in with some overhang on the driveway in. We didn’t have any damage from it but we were in a rental and not overly concerned. I would guess under 11’ you’d be totally clear.
Great time at run wild!
My wife and I had an awesome time at Heather's place, so warm and inviting, she's a great host!! Our site was great, we wished we had more planks to level the trailer, but nothing crazy, great privacy as well! We loved the visits from the animals, if I could I would have taken the ducks with us home! I loved them! Nice and quiet, will definitely return!!
Thank you Heather!
We had a wonderful time disconnecting and enjoying the outdoors, beautiful property!
Animals were a nice change of scenery and really enjoyed waking up to the sounds from the pond and seeing the horses!
She was a gracious host in accommodating our dates for our stay as she had a lot going on that weekend and went out of her way to check on us and recommend some incredible places to visit and spend the days.
Thank you again and we would definitely book a future stay here !!
Amazing stay and hospitality
Heather so sweet and an amazing host I would surely recommend this site for anyone wanting to stay in a green area with creek, pond, horses, chicken, dogs, forest. I would recommend bringing your own wood and it may get crowded with other people on site so if you are looking for a more secluded option Ontario parks is the way to go.
Overall our group experience was great lots of stars farm fresh eggs very tasty, no washroom, but a water tap which is nice.
Perfect first time with hipcamp.
Super quiet and absolutely wonderful place to stay at. We enjoyed ourselves immensely with the four days.
Heather was beautiful. Her kids were friendly and welcomed us to their amazing tree house. She and they are as social as you want them to be.
We stayed at site 2 which had access to power. It was right next to the horse barn but we didn't notice any odour. She upgraded her wifi during our stay and it was available at our site.
Sites are very spacious. It's quite easy at three of the sites to orient yourself for extra privacy.
Animals at the location include a large friendly dog, a variety of chickens, bribable horses, and two very social ducks who carry on conversations between themselves. The ducks kept us company on the day we hung out on site playing cards. We wish we knew what they wanted or were chattering about.
We availed ourselves to the firewood, the fresh eggs and the trails. Heather had also sent us a description with excellent driving instructions on local waterfalls to see which made for a very pleasant day.
We feel like we made new friends and are looking forward to returning.
Relaxing and secluded..friendly fun
A nice place for sure. Nice and secluded, cleared grass so you don't have to worry about creatures and ticks. Large enough for our monsterous RV. A beautiful pond that our dogs loved swimming in. Also an above ground pool that was great for relaxing in and a nice temperature. Heather was a great host she was so accommodating to our situation and was open for anything. Such an easy person to get along with who wants you to enjoy your stay as much as possible! I definitely would recommend it for amateur and experienced campers. If you love animals there are plenty to see.. my family especially loved the friendly ducks. :)
