We have the perfect camping getaway nestled conveniently between Toronto, Kitchener/Waterloo, and Hamilton on the Niagara Escarpment.

There are 2 campsites 1 acre apart.  #1  campsite sits at the top of a hill, looking down onto 16 Mile Creek in a heavily forested setting and can accommodate an RV up to 30 feet (with electricity). #2 is one acre away in a secluded corner.  There is a shared outhouse between the two sites. We offer only 2 campsites an acre apart, not visible to eachother, so your group will have maximum privacy. The campsite is equipped with a fire pit and picnic table so you can comfortably enjoy your meals together. The site is perfect for a family and can accommodate four people. Our property is virtually bugless!

On our property, you’ll find beautiful walking trails to enjoy throughout your stay and a lovely creek that flows through our property that you can spend your days fishing and relaxing alongside. We are also a hobby farm and have bison, cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, turkey, Emu and even peacocks that you can meet.  All the animals will even let you give them a few friendly pets.

Only 5 minutes away, you’ll find Campbellville, a cute town with wonderful restaurants, cafes and small businesses to support. From our property, you're only a 5-minute walk from the Kelso, Rattlesnake Point Conservation area, Kelso Lavender Farm, and Hilton Falls Trails.

Come and enjoy this perfect close-to-home camping getaway this summer! We look forward to meeting you soon!

Camping at River Rock Farm was definitely one of my favourite all-time camping experiences! If you like something a little less than conventional and don’t mind some farm animals around then it’s perfect for you. I enjoyed the adventure and challenge of getting through the gates, past the cow field, and into the bird field all without letting any animals out in the middle of the night. If you want pure leisure and ease of coming and going it may be less for you. But this is an animal-lover’s paradise! My all-time favourite animal on the farm is the 8 month old Emu 12! It takes some dedication in bonding but she really is sweet indeed that initially slightly terrifying exterior lol. But in all seriousness a great experience! Don’t miss it!

That one happy Emu!Don’t ask! lol 🥰🥰🥰Peacocks!

Eve is sweet and warm. Upon arrival I was familiar with animals as I’ve lived on a farm before, so you do have to pass through two gates past the animals to get to the site. The animals were all so sweet and loving! The cows were very cuddly and the pigs were social butterflies. We brought our GSD and he got along well with the chickens. Specifically the baby emu and our dog were very curious about each other. I’ve already recommended this to friends. I would come back for the animal therapy & to explore the woods a bit more!

This was a super fun spot for the kids with all the animals in close proximity! It is worth noting that you should be very comfortable with farm animals if staying as you have to travel through a few gates to get to the camping spots (including navigating pigs and cows!). But the adorable bunnies and tree-roosting turkeys and chickens make the place a special experience. Great proximity to Kelso Lake, where we spent our days on the beach and paddling.

Eve's land is super conveniently located near Toronto which makes for an easy escape if you have limited time but the space feels like you could be in a remote area far north. Her land is right near Kelso Conservation area which is great for exploring, but also spacious enough that you can sit around your site, wander to the creek or hang out with the animals for your whole trip.

A short hike down a hill and you're at the creek! It's peaceful and quiet, perfect on a very hot summer day like we are experiencing! Cooling off with my toes in there...This is the gate to enter as a camper and easily access sites 1 and 2.Before you go, don't hesitate to check the cooler for some local goods. The site is well set up also for fires and sitting in a group, it was really really hot during my stay so I didn't light up the fire but this is a great location for gathering and staying up to stargaze.

This campsite was the perfect place I could've asked for! It's close enough to Toronto to get cellphone service and the (amazing) host Eve had everything we could possible need!

The animals on the property are super friendly and make the whole experience feel a little more woodsy (even though you're 8 mins away from a Tim Hortons and a gas station).

The property is beautiful, the campsites are both very private and again the host Eve is an amazing person.

If you ever want to go camping near toronto this is best campsite you'll find.

Eve has a beautiful little hobby farm not far from the city, just off the 401. The animals are very social and will come right up to your site! We had a 17' camper 22' overall and a full size pick up, I would not want to bring in anything bigger. Eve was a great host we had a power issue and she fixed it for us. This is an active little hobby farm with people and animals around doing farm stuff! An enjoyable stay

A beautiful property and a truly immersive experience! The host is friendly and available and offers up hints on how to enjoy her property. Our only issue was the drive through the field/pasture and a couple of gates to get to the site...a little rough on the rig but we made it in and out with needing just a cleanup. The gardens are glorious and be sure to take the path down the hill to the secluded riverside Adirondack chairs to listen to the gurgling of the water and call of the birds. The campfire cauldron was an interesting touch and how great to have firetending tools there at the campsite...also free firewood available. The animals are friendly and right there with you...fun times!
Thank you for the experience!
