We have owned the property for 19 years. The camping area was once a gravel pit which was rehabilitated in 2020. There is agricultural land that is farmed in the summer as well we host bees at that back of the property . A unique feature on the property is a natural spring that bubbles up and feeds the two streams on the property.

Open to the stars
Mulled wine, bonfires & stargazing
Loved hot stove camping at Susan’s & Brent’s. Easter long weekend was a bit chilly and dusting of snow was on the ground each morning when we awoke; however, the unlimited firewood kept us warm as it was necessary to feed the stove to keep the interior of the tent toasty. The pit toilets were a walking distance. There’s a ground artisan well in one if my sites. And the trail passes by the sites. the sites . Susan was always timely to answer my questions. I brought 2 groups to occupy two sites. This site offered more than we expected. It was so private/ secluded but at the same time easily accessible to bring our items in by foot from where we parked. We strung lights and lanterns. There’s no bench on this site; however, Brent brought one over for us for our prepping & cooking space. We ate/drunk/sung/danced & told stories by the campfire. It’s the best site for stargazing because it blocks all lights beyond the evergreens. The wide open land just beyond the pines was great for testing a drone brought by the only child in our midst. We would definitely cone back to this particular site again. Something to consider: We explored & brought picnic to three different waterfalls while in the area and were happy we did it.

I loved cabin camping here! There was lots of space for my dog to run and she loved jumping through the fresh snow every morning. The wooden shack was also super convenient to get to and I loved that they already had a bonfire going when I arrived! Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to do some winter camping!

Overall we had a good experience. I read the reviews and I miss judged the actual living space. I have stayed in other hip camp tiny cabins but with the slanted walls and small floor space made it feel smaller. The weather was rain the first day and snow the 2nd day so more time was spent inside the A frame than I would have liked. There were 2 of us and a small dog, left the big one home. The bed was much smaller than I realized, more like a XL single. Because the weather was crap we had to eat our meals inside and there was no place to eat inside other than the bed. A collapsible table would have been nice to have had and even a particle shelter over the picnic table where I had to cook would have been ideal. The propane heating unit was fantastic, it made the cabin very warm! The property is huge, lots of trails. We were the only ones using the property & I enjoyed the quiet! I would go again but by myself, I like a bigger bed for 2
