Privacy in the Country
Bill offers a really special piece of his land. We were looking for some privacy, some quiet time away from the kids, and a chance to be a bit closer to nature with our camper. Bill was a friendly guy, met us shortly after arrival to show how the outdoor heated shower 😍, composting toilet facilities 🍃, and the pond waterfall ⛲️ worked. Had 110v hookup so we could enjoy some conveniences in our trailer. We did enjoy walking the trail at the back of the property. He provided us with a box of firewood for night time marshmellin'. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the deck with a great novel by the pond. Campsite is sandwiched between a wall of privacy trees and a ripe cornfield - so privacy we had. I would also like to make note of how well the site and facilities are maintained; bathroom was clean, grass was cut, and he had garbage and recycle cans available for us. Short drive into town with plenty of restaurants, shops, groceries, etc. Re: road noise - the site is a long distance from the road and from town, but you can hear some road traffic and air traffic noise (for those that are seeking 100% nature solitude). Would not detract us from staying again. Lovely hipcamper experience.

Country Retreat
Camping in the peace and quiet.
Although we only stayed at this location for under 12 hours overnight while driving across Canada, we appreciated the cleanliness, beauty, and peace and quiet that this camp offered. We weren't able to connect in person with Bill due to the timing of our arrival and departure, which he was very accommodating about, but the directions into the camp and the instructions for the toilet and shower were very clear and user friendly. We would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the other amenities that were available. The location was very private without being too far from the busier parts of town. My husband did notice a bit of noise from the morning traffic, but we live on a street with almost no cars, so it probably wouldn't be noticeable to anyone else. We woke up properly to the wonderful sounds of nature and an owl nearby.
