The sites and trails are maintained during winter months and the forest is quiet and beautiful covered in snow. Guests can snowshoe or x-country ski on the vast private trails. Downhill skiing is not too far. Moonstone/Mt St Louis and Horseshoe Valley are about 15/20 minutes and Blue mountain is about 50 minutes.
The campsites are family-friendly (and pet-friendly), and you can easily drive up to and park at your campsite.
Small campfires are permitted, sustainably harvested firewood is available to purchase! Please add this as an extra at the time of booking or can be purchased at the site.
Shopping and all amenities are under 15 minutes away! The property is close to Georgian Bay for swimming, fishing, boating/sailing, paddling and beaches. We had an amazing time at Dave's campsite! It was so quiet and private, and the trails were perfect for walking around and taking in nature. Our site was large enough for two vehicles and two tents, with space between and plenty of room for enjoying the campfire. We loved listening to the sounds of the animals and birds at night. I camped with my two dogs and they were so happy to have so much space to sniff and play! Dave was very quick to respond to messages, and stopped by to make sure we were enjoying our stay. We'll definitely be back!
Dave is a excellent host and very genereous. When we arrived, he was waiting for us at the entry of his campground and directed us to our site. The entry, in the forest, is very narrow and there's a 90 degre turn to the right after couple of meters in the entry, so we carefully entered with our 24' RV trailer and got in without a scratch.
There's 6 campsites and our was well suited for our trailer. We made sure to have water in our tank before arriving. We had great privacy and enjoyed walking the trails and sitting next to the pond. All the sites are pretty much very well separated and provide privacy,
Our host gave us a tour of the campground and of his farm located about 5 minutes away. He was very kind and gave us a dozen of fresh eggs he gets every days from his many chickens he raises.
Also, the campground is not very far from Wasaga beach (about 20 minutes away by car).
Overall, its a nice campground if you're a looking for a quiet place and be private.
Our family had a very relaxing time at Cedar Creek, Dave was a great host who was always quick to respond. We ended up running out of wood and Dave was quick to drop some off at the site. The sites were large and there was a nice soft sandy spot for our tent. It was very private, quiet and campsites were spread out nicely. Our pup and son loved swimming in the pond. Dave has done a wonderful job with his property and really cares for his guests.
La pasamos muy bien es un lugar muy bonito y Dave es muy amable y atento, en todo momento estuvo pendiente de lo que necesitábamos, nos regaló huevos de su granja.
What an amazing spot! Dave was supper nice, he took his time to show us around the different camping sites. I definitely recommend this place and will be going back!

What a great experience :) Dave is a wonderful host, such good energy and outlook of life and nature, and it shows here at this property.
Some really unique features here, and very private sites. Hope to go back and see the different seasons at this beautiful place!

Clean back woods camping, wildlife!
David is the model of what a Hipcamp host should be. This was my first camping experience in over 30 years and he waited for us and had everything prepared for our arrival! We arrived 4 hours late and he was totally understanding! During our stay he came by several times each day, to make sure we had what we needed. On our last night he was waiting for a late arrival and sat with us and we shared stories about our lives, the late arrival rolled in at midnight and he went and helped them get set up! We will definitely be going back again!
Mike and Krista.

Highly recommended campground
Dave was an excellent host and his campground is one of the best we visit. From day one of meeting this host you will learn lots from him. This campground is absolutely beautiful with lots of wildlife, if you don't see them then you hear them. The hooting of the owls, the cricking of the frogs and the soft wind rustling through the trees puts you in a peaceful sleep. It feels almost like a little heaven on earth. We loved waking up to the view of trees and pond, chirping of birds and the many breaths of clean air whilst hiking the trail. This forestry campground brings lots of lessons of balance to you. Don't forget to purchase your organic eggs from this host for a healthy and delicious breakfast. Campfire wood is also available.
