Camp Fun at Lake Lauzon

We recently scheduled a Lake Superior trip from Toronto to Sleeping Gian and back. On our way back, we booked a night at Camp Fun. What a great experience! Joshua is extremely responsive and a great host. He and his boys greeted us at the location with fresh homemade bread and farm eggs. It was delicious. Nice touch and very kind family.

The property is alot of fun. We had plenty of room for our teardrop trailer and enjoyed all aspects of the campsite. What a fun location for kids, and big kids like us. We sat on one side to enjoy the views and went to the other, for more great views.

We had an amazing fire on the rokc by the lake and a clear night to view the landscape of stars.

In the morning, we rented the canoe and had a calm paddle in the bay. Very beautiful lake.

We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely return.

Note: there is a walk down a hill to the dock (bring headlamps or flashlights). I thought there was an outhouse but it's an outdoor toilet. Very well maintained and organized however.

Joshua's place was beautiful! Right on the water and the so close to town, singing sands beach. We had the most amazing sunset over the lake and the stargazing was incredible. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing spot. Great host. Had water for fire and a map of the property for us upon arrival. Lots of cool things for kids to do around the property. Rock wall, tree fort and hammock are awesome! Steep slope down to the dock but once you get there it’s perfect. And there’s a cool bench and fire pit on a landing overlooking the water that’s incredible. Josh brought us fresh bread and micro greens midway through our stay and gave us some local tips/attractions to check out. We will definitely be back!

Joshuas property was a fantastic overnight oasis for us on a long road trip. The views of the lake were beautiful at sunset and the toys/ amenities were very fun.
Unfortunately our car battery died overnight, but Joshua was minutes away to jump us and get us back on the road. We couldn’t have asked for a better host and experience.

Selfishly I would like to give a bad review. I would like to say that Camp Fun was no fun, that the host was not great, that there was not endless activities for our children and that we did not enjoy our stay. I would be lying! We loved every moment of it, from fishing, didnt catch any ;), to going swimming in lake Huron, to the kids playing on the property and overall just enjoying our time together. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to get away, just leave some empty weekends for us, we would love to go back!

Extremely courteous host, everything you need here and more. Great fishing, scenic vistas, and a beautiful sunset every day.

Parked on a good gravel driveway. Had to do some levelling of camper but not out-of-the-ordinary. Host Joshua extremely nice; excellent communication, left us wood and water for a campfire. Nice quiet spot with 2 acres to explore. Access to a beautiful lake with a dock. Close to TransCanada highway but far enough that there was no traffic noise.

I would recommend the camp site. It's beautiful and relaxing. The host (Joshua) has been very helpful and kind. He is quick to respond to any question I have and very helpful.
We were provided with wood for the fire and two gallons of water.
The camp site was amazing ,four fire pit to choose from, private space, big hammock, I would recommend this site to anyone who wants to get away and enjoy nature. Beautiful sunrise and sunset view surrounding with nature sounds.
