Noisy but over all good
Overall this was a great place to stay.
Pros: Extremely kind and thoughtful hosts they made me feel welcome and were helpful and inviting. Gorgeous piece of property and they have taken care of it well to keep it beautiful and give each camper a feeling of privacy in their respective sites.
Cons: there was only one con and it could have been just the timing of when I happened to visit. That was noise level, they are clear in their rules that it is quiet time at 10:00 p.m. However, for my visit, the hosts played loud music over speakers until close to 1:00 a.m. This unfortunately ruined what I had went there for which was quiet and calm, to get away from the city in noises that come with it. When they finally did call it a night it turned out he has a neighbor nearby that also was throwing himself quite a loud party with music and singing and he did not stop until around 4:00 a.m. Needless to say there was no sleep or peace for me or my daughter.
Now obviously the host cannot control his neighbor and so that is no reflection on him and it could be that he had this party planned, as it's his property he is entitled. However, he could have mentioned this when I was booking and I probably would not have booked with this host for that weekend. The host kindness made up for it and it is probably a perfect place if you like a little partying with your camping.
Everything as promised. The goats and donkeys were very sweet. It was a bit buggy but it had been raining the night before. Just might want earplugs as the rooster farm down the road was an explosion of sound at 5am. I was actually wowed by the waves of sound. The outdoor shower was perfect and clean and the trails were mowed and easy to navigate.
Great camping experience!
Friendly host, clean camp, beautiful setting. The only downfall was that the wood we purchased was wet - the main reason I even bought some was because I knew it had been recently rainy, and I wanted to be sure to have some dry firewood.
Peaceful, welcoming, and refreshing
Great campsite and the tranquility is amazing. Hosts, including the goats in the goat hike, are warm, courteous, and extremely helpful.
Campsite has a couple options on tent placement. Area is weedeated or mowed and maintained. Picnic table and firepit are where they need to be and well maintained.
Lots of trails, ponds, and a creek to explore. We will be back and am recommending for a small family or just a couple. They have other sites that also looked great.
A wonderful treasure
Excellent environment. I was going to stay in my car for the night, but he offered me the empty room. The room was perfect and cozy. I enjoyed my first shower outside (I’m open to trying new experiences), and was really courteous when I needed help. I enjoyed the my one night brief stay.. I enjoyed waking up to the sight of the animals (donkey, goats, chickens/hens). A wonderful treasure.
