Second trip to tent camp and absolutely love the location we had the most amazing experience the first time we were there unfortunately this time was not the same experience but would love to come back in the future when things improve. The site appears to be under construction which was not communicated by the host. When we arrived there were vehicles that were left on the property including a box truck, the addition of the shipping container cabin is a wonderful idea but does take away the serene nature of what the site used to be. The restroom is located inside the cabin before booking the site I confirmed that the restroom would be in working order and then two weeks before our trip the host informed us that due to other campers stealing he wasn’t going to allow us to us the restroom. I offered to stay at the site Sunday so that the host could come check out the site to ensure everything was in order, he accepted the offer and then a week later changed his mind and insisted we book a port a potty to be delivered to the site in order to keep the reservation, the week of the camping trip he canceled the reservation on us without saying a word three days before our arrival and then allowed us to once I reached out and told him that we had done everything we had asked and I had already spent the extra money to reserve the port a potty to be delivered to the site. The gazebo area is part of the construction and had been raised with no stairs and was not assessable.
Nice enough place but it didn't feel like camping. It felt more like it was someones backyard.
We couldn't figure out the power.
The toilet had no running water so we couldn't use it.
Also there was stuff all over the floor in the building.
Again, not awful, but not camping.
It was easy to find and not too far off the freeway. The lake is cool and it is quiet. It looks like there is a cool set up for high season, but for me, I just needed a place to sleep in my car overnight safely on a road trip and this suited me well.
Peaceful, private pond camping location. Has a good fire pit setup and an inside flush toilet Will likely go back again.
Having your own private place on the water with a dock, kayak, fire pit, grill, and nobody else there except you and your family or friends.
We had a great time although we did stay a while no one ever came around to bother us it was a nice and quiet time the lake was awesome got to fish and caught a couple of bass our dogs loved it they got to play catch all day long we’ll definitely be back for sure!
Lots of nice features: you're next to a pond with a dock with seating, vineyard in the back, plenty of privacy while remaining wide and open. I only passed through overnight this time but would stay again!
