I didn’t read the other review until my mom and I were an hour out on a dirt road in what seemed to be someone’s front yard. I had messaged Marvin asking him how to get to the site and he gave extremely vague directions. Once we got there I felt very scared as it was late and dark, I messaged him and he continued to give vague and unhelpful answers. We drove off and found a safe place to camp. This morning he sent me a much more direct message about how I could have “found the site” . Would have been helpful the night before.
We made the trip to the location around 1am traveling from Houston. We followed the hosts directions but when we arrived, we were met by a small barking and an older lady that assured us the property was not listed on hipcamp and she didn’t recommend parking or camping in the area. We didn’t stay.
