Description
Located on Polecat Creek about 13 miles southwest of Sapulpa, Heyburn Campground is set in postcard-worthy grasslands. Enjoy vistas of gently sloping wooded hills of postoak, blackjack, hickory, ash, elm, and cottonwood trees. Heyburn Lake has 920 acres of surface area and 52 miles of shoreline that fishermen and women use to catch largemouth bass, crappie, sunfish, and catfish. If it’s scenery you’re after, the springtime is A++ due to the flowering wild plum and redbud trees.

Some of the water hookups are way off! Like clear across to the other side of your neighboring campsite! If you have site 47, be prepared to hook into site 46's water faucet, which means you'll be running your hose across their campsite. I camped with some older ladies and I was scared to death one might trip over my water hose! I tucked it into some railroad ties where you step down. Take at least 75' to 100' of hose! Otherwise, It's a pretty nice campground!
