May need 4x4 to cross creeks and would be difficult to pass creeks anytime with a car or low to the ground vehicle. Could always park b4 creeks and walk when water is low.

Ben's land afforded plenty of solitude and quiet, which is what were seeking. It is very close to Winding Stair Recreation Area, which was an added convenience.
The only real issue we encountered was that Ben didn't seem to know we were coming and so the field was overgrown. We weren't expecting a putting green, as this is farm land, but all the grass was knee-high and created a hazard of rolling an ankle stepping onto uneven ground, not to mention ticks and chiggers. Coupled with high winds and this was a real fire hazard that detracted from some of the relaxation we were seeking. Had the field been mowed, this would have been an ideal camping area.
We had a great time on Ben’s property. It was nice and quiet and we had the whole space to ourselves.
It's a big open field lined by trees on the edges and two trees in the middle providing some shade. The field was overgrown and we'd have appreciated if some space was cleared out. The creek was dry so we couldn't trust the stagnant water but luckily we had all the drinking water we needed with us.
Oh and there was a hammock and a backpack hanging high on a tree clearly abandoned by someone previously camping there. The mystery of what happened there remains unsolved.

The land was beautiful and peaceful. I will definitely go back given the opportunity. Ben and his family were amazing hosts and treated me like family.
Beautiful property nestled in the valley of black fork mtn. plenty of creeks that snake this valley. Small mouth bass, blue gill and gar are plentiful in these creeks. Big creek is great for technical white water kayaking when they’re full. (Wouldn’t recommend to a novus) located a few miles west of the AR boarder, there’s a highly diverse array of native trees: pines, maples, pecans, ash, oaks, elms, juniper, sweet gum, sycamore, red buds, dogwoods, laurels and more. If you camp here please respect this fragile ecosystem! Ben and his family are super nice people.
