This freshwater limestone area is highly underrated in my opinion! If you're looking for a private and unique spot, I would definitely recommend this. Just make sure that you know the trick of the lock on the gate! I had to call David to get in and out. Once you set the combo, it seems like the lock itself requires some pulling & shaking.

The spot to camp is all the way at the end of the road on your left. If it's rainy, the gravelly ground won't be the best spot to stake your tent. But there is a spot that has firmer ground if you walk up to the water and go left - it's closer to the water. A hidden gem of this spot is there is a trail down to the river within very short walking distance!

A great landing place for 1 night of a cross country trip! It had rained a lot that day (muddy). This is the spot I wouldn't recommend to stake your tent if it's wet. There is a better spot closer to the water and to the left, but it doesn't have car access.
