JR and Amanda were so sweet. I was their first guest, and they went all out to make sure I felt welcome and comfortable. They were very communicative. They even gave me s’more fixins!

Pros: gorgeous pastoral location. Shady and sunny spots available. Cute animals (though some were mischievous; see below). A huge fire pit with logs was all set for me, but it was too hot to have one. Super friendly hosts.

Cons: My biggest complaint is that i was locked in due to the horses needing to be kept in. I felt a little nervous about having to depend on the hosts completely in the case of an emergency or otherwise needing to get out.
Nowhere private to go potty (even digging a hole or peeing in the woods). Some traffic next to my spot (though I could’ve moved farther from the road). Loud dogs barking. Cat kept me up all night jumping around on the top of my car, and was so obsessed with me I could barely be outside at all during my stay (though I did adore her it was a lot to handle at times). You’re camping in a field with sheep and a mini donkey (🥺 adorable) so there is poo to watch out for.

I am being really transparent here to try and help the hosts make little improvements that could make this an A+ campsite! Although that looks like a long list of cons I would recommend this spot anyways. It was gorgeous, cheap, and close to Tulsa on my way to Austin.
