BentProp Camping

Exceptional experience at Bentprop Campsite. Was lucky enough to have the place to myself. Glenn came and welcomed me personally after I got settled in and checked on my throughout my stay. Well taken care of place. The fishing was great, saw some turkeys, armadillos, and other wildlife. I will be coming back soon!

Glenn was very friendly and very informative. He messaged me with directions to help find the campsite better and came by for a personal chat to help us get settled in which I appreciated. The campsite was well manicured and very clean. There were some trees to help with the shading. The views were very peaceful. I would definitely recommend Glenn and this spot to anyone.

Took my two kids camping there and we all had a blast! The campgrounds were beautiful and peaceful and our site was a little secluded (by choice). When I arrived Glenn said I could set up anywhere I want and he brought over a picnic table and fire ring for us. Glenn and his wife are so incredibly kind, thoughtful, generous, and just all around fantastic hosts. We will undoubtedly return next year.

Second time at BentProp and it was great as usual! Great hosts that really care about the campers.

Glenn was a great host! We showed up last minute and we was accommodating enough to give us a tour of the property and helped us gather firewood. We would love to return to this spot as it’s perfect for star gazing a casual catch and release fishing.

Glenn is a great host with a beautiful property. This was our second visit and certainly not our last. Each time we have made the trip to his property he went above and beyond to ensure our camp was enjoyable. The pond is well-stocked, the hiking trails are great, and property is very peaceful. I would highly recommend a camp at Bent Prop.

This is a fantastic place to camp. Glenn is a thoughtful host who really cares about you having a good experience. Glenn was easy to communicate with, the campsite was easy to find, it was clean, it had a fire ring, picnic table, and even a porta pottie nearby.

We camped near a pond. We don’t fish but you could have, and it was quiet.

My son and I spent one night at this Beautiful campgrounds after finding Buckhorn and Lake Murray completely full. Only one other group was camping at the time. Well maintained,,mowed tent areas with sandy soil. Nice clean picnic table. We brought firewood with us, but seemed to be quite a bit of downed wood on the property. Lovely country life campgrounds. We heard a donkey braying at dusk and Dawn, cows off in the distance, and either dogs or coyotes howling in the distance. However, we didn’t see any wildlife on the property other than HUGE orb spiders. It was fun to watch them spin their webs. We did not go exploring off in the wooded area. This is snake country after all!! 😁 They had bottled water available at the campgrounds and an outdoor toilet. Come prepared for primitive camping. Property owner came down to check on us. Super nice people. We would definitely stay again.

Bent Prop camping is a beautiful spot with a beautiful view. My boyfriend and I could only stay for one night, but plan on coming again just so we can stay longer to explore the area and the camp itself. Fire pit and very easy to find dry foreword. Lovely little lake. The host Glenn is very welcoming and goes above and beyond to keep the campsite clean and comfortable. 10/10 would recommend for a great time and beautiful scenery.
