It will get nice and dark in the woods. Bring a flashlight or even better some battery or solar powered fairy lights to add a beautiful glow to your area.

Be certain to bring blankets if temperatures will be cool, especially in the evening.

The terrain is rolling with several established trails for hiking, running, or mountain biking if you bring those. Hocking Hills State Park, Ash Cave, Vinton Furnace State Forest, Zaleski State Forest all in the area. Lots of wildlife in the area such deer, woodpeckers, and bobcat. No hunting allowed.

Really enjoyed staying at Whispering Pines. We arrived during the rain and Jim had kept the firewood we purchased dry for us until we arrived and then delivered the wood to our campsite. Location was beautiful!

You are very welcome. Thanks for camping on our property. Please come back again. I am hoping that with the driveway getting greatly repaired Late Fall camping maybe even Winter camping may be more possible. Great chatting with you over text.

This campsite is really nice. It’s quiet, shady, beautiful, and great for hammocks. You feel like you’re remote while actually being close to gas stations/stores. It’s a 20ish minute drive to hocking hills depending on what side you’re going to. Be aware, you have to carry your gear about 1/4 mile from the parking area to the site. The bathroom is also at the parking area. Bring bug spray and enjoy the serenity!

Thank you for staying and for the review. You are correct in that you can feel way out in the woods yet you are not that far from being able to go to town and grab dinner if you want. That sense of privacy is why we have the few sites that we have spread out from each other making it easy to relax and just "be". Please visit us again.

We had a great time! The only issue we ran into was the gravel road up to the site was in rough shape. We could not get up the road all the way and ended up having to park somewhere else.

Glad you had a great time camping. The driveway got hit really hard with the crazy heavy rains this past month before the contractor could get out there to fix it. After he is done there should not be any more issues with erosion of the driveway. Please come visit again.

Stayed for one night and had a perfect stay. Nice shaded area and trees, quiet and secluded. Great view of the stars and a nice breeze that blows through the pines. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking!
