Towpath Trail Peace Park offers a convenient stopover for trail travelers, especially those cycling or hiking the towpath. The host, Joe, is frequently praised for his friendliness and wealth of local historical knowledge, making interactions enjoyable for campers. While the site's proximity to roads and a railway may not be ideal for light sleepers, earplugs are often recommended and provided. The campsite itself is noted for its cleanliness and accessibility, though some maintenance like mowing could enhance the experience.

Towpath Trail Peace Park was a decent place to stay! Joe was really nice and wanted to share so much history about the area, which was awesome! The food grade hose was helpful for us to hose down after 60 miles on the towpath. The spot is close to a somewhat busy road and there is an active rail line close by so if you’re sensitive to car and train sounds while trying to sleep, maybe pack some earplugs! A sweet calico kitty visited our tent in the morning and hung out while we packed up. What a delight! I would stay there again.

Thank you, Joe, for the campground right on the towpath trail. I had a good night’s sleep during my bike trip and enjoyed talking with you and learning about the local history. It’s also convenient to Bolivar with a bike trail the whole way.
