Shady Grove's Camp Tent Retreat

A beautifully decorated yurt tent nestled in a shady grove on our working farm.

Features a queen-sized bed, lots of pillows and blankets, and all the good vibes! Enjoy the community campfire--sorry, no fires allowed at the Camp Tent. Stargaze. Listen to the chorus of the tree frogs.

You'll have access to a bathhouse that once was a cattle trailer. (Don't worry, we've made significant improvements!). Full shower/tub, sink, and toilet. Hot water. Towels provided.

Enjoy the serenity of the woods, take a dip in the spring-fed swimming hole, meet the goats, or come look at some weird plants in one of our greenhouses.

Atwood Lake is literally just a few minutes away! Lots of boating, fishing, and hiking opportunities over there. Leesville Lake is a few more minutes in the other direction. It is a great, under-the-radar place to visit.

Historic Zoar Village is a scenic fifteen minute drive. This quaint little village is very walkable, has a laid back atmosphere, and features some very interesting old buildings.

Above all else: PLEASE be respectful of other potential campers you'll be sharing common areas with! The Shady Grove property offers this Camp Tent, three pitch-your-own-tent spots, and a glamped out '69 Holiday Rambler travel trailer, as well. If you don't want to share the property with others, rent out all the spots for yourself or your family/group.

Additional details-

ADULTS ONLY - we have unfenced ponds, steep terrain, and this is a working farm not suitable for children.

NO PETS - We LOVE pets and have MANY of our own. But our pets know our livestock and the rules of the property, your pets do not.

NO FIRES AT TENT SITES - This bears repeating. But, there is a community fire ring that you are free to share with others that may be staying at Shady Grove. We also offer three tent camp spots, and a glamped out '69 Holiday Rambler travel trailer... so these folks may be sharing the fire ring with you!)
