We wanted a quiet site for some late fall car camping. It was perfect. Quiet peaceful wooded setting. Simple. It met all our needs. They made a nice clearing in the woods with firepit, wood, and a nice picnic table, and tent area. You'd have to carry your gear down the short path to use the dedicated camping area. It was exactly what we needed.
We went to Hocking Hills at dawn the next morning. Hocking Hills is spectacular and breathtaking. Worth a trip.
We had a really good time, the campsite was great! We really liked the large picnic table, benches by the fire, and softer mulch area to sleep on with the tent. You can tell a lot of thought and effort went into the creation of the site. The surrounding woods were great for some afternoon hiking as well, our dog really enjoyed it especially. Perfectly secluded and private campsite to enjoy some time away from the hustle and bustle.
A beautiful space with conifer trees mixed in with the deciduous. A great deal of wonderful sounds at night... barn owls, barred owls, and lots of coyotes howling. On a clear night we saw many stars and a couple planets very clearly. There is a nearby road up on the ridge with minimal traffic. It didn't really affect this little gem.

This was a great private campsite. It was mostly quiet except for a few cars on a nearby road, with a nice view of a creek. The trails on the property were peaceful and scenic and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The outhouse was clean and not smelly. The only downside is that there is a slope to get to the campsite from the parking space and outhouse, which could be difficult for some people or in wet weather. We greatly enjoyed our stay and Travis was very accommodating and quickly responded to texts.
This site was perfect! One of the nicest ones within an easy drive of Columbus. Easy to get to, good for 1 or 2 tents, and has a great fire pit. Close to many state parks too.

Very comfortable campsite with a nice set-up for bonfires.
Travis and Lindsey have created a little corner of the Appalachian Trail on the campus of the Tenderfoot Learning Lab. Safe, secluded, and steeped in the aroma of white pines, tent and hammock campers alike can find respite. Along with the stone fire ring and log benches is an enormously beneficial picnic table. The privy is wonderfully designed. A Verizon customer, I was able to get a 4G signal at the parking site.
My aim was to experience spring in SE Ohio. Deciduous Downtime made it possible to enjoy my time because I truly felt safe and welcomed.
