The campsite is in an open meadow on our 5 acre property, next to the ruins of what was one of the oldest barns in the county (there are still some beautiful stone walls left). You will be surrounded by trees and the spot is completely private. Directly across the road from our property (a 5 minute walk) is the Little Miami Scenic Trail, the third longest paved trail in the US (amazing for biking). The unique village of Yellow Springs is only a 5 minute drive away with a great local grocery store and several cafes. Included in this campsite is access to our 1830s spring house if you want a refreshing dip! If you would like to visit our chickens or Angie's pottery studio in the barn, just let us know and we'd love to show you around. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BOOKING.
Notes: 1) We are still building a compost toilet so the option on the property now is to dig a cat hole at least 6" deep. There is an open public toilet in Yellow Springs and several businesses with open bathrooms. 2) The spring house is not secluded, you can see it from our driveway. We regularly let it drain and it fills itself up. Water level depends on rainfall. It is cold but perfect for hot days! 3) The campsite is right off of Route 68. You cannot see cars from the site but you can hear them. The amount of noise from cars is very low at night. 4) The meadow is ideal for tent camping, though it is NOT a built campsite so it is not perfectly level throughout. 5) For camper vans: we do allow camper vans (not RVs or trailers) but please note when it rains it can get very muddy. No camper vans have been stuck in the meadow due to rain/mud, but it has happened to an RV or trailer and hence we do not accept RVs or trailers at our site.

We were very excited to celebrate our Anniversary ( away from our kiddos) Arrived at the sweet spot with no meet and greet we started setting up. I messaged to let host know incase they wanted to give us the lay if the land and hoping to ask questions about the site no response. After reading all the reviews about firewood ect. At dinner in town and realizing we never got firewood I messaged again about purchasing firewood no response until it was well after and basically just a "hope you figured something out" text. Thankfully we did. Other notes the site grass was long ,the spring house pool had a thick layer of moss we used our fly swat to move it aside so we could take a dip ( it did feel great!) There was a baby crying really early morning around 5:30 or 6 which woke us up and continued for 30 minutes and sounded like the child was outside. We made it work but, not exactly as we expected after reading the reviews. The best part is how close it is to Beautiful Yellow springs.

A pleasant return for a two-night stay at Sweet Spot. Made extensive use of the close-by bike path and Yellow Spring's excellent restaurants.
We had a great night camping at The Sweet Spot! Very peaceful. We will definitely be back.
The stay was awesome. The little but of land where the plot is feels secluded, even though you arent far from the road or the home. Yellow Springs is just a few miles down the road, and there is plenty of awesome Hiking spots too. We will be back!
The site was as described and it was a quick and easy getaway near John Bryan State Park, Glen Helen Nature Preserve, Clifton Gorge, etc.

This was a perfect simple spot for an overnight camp on cross country trip. Really easy to get to, spacious, private, comfy.
Very secluded spot even during the winter. Perfect for a weekend get away! Very responsive host.
Another lovely night at Angie's!! Only went down to 39°, and the spring was so refreshing! THANK YOU!!!!!!!
