A hidden gem ❤
Our stay here was amazing. Clean, quiet, and everything else you could hope for. I would recommend to anyone, and we will definitely be back again in the spring. The hosts mention in the descriptions that the shower doesnt have the best water pressure, but it was more than strong enough for us to comfortably take showers in. No issues at all. 10/10 all the way around.
It was great to be back!
I visited this adorable cabin in October 2020 and again in October 2021. The cabin still looks and feels brand new. It is cozy, neat, and clean inside and out. The bed is soft and plushy with t-shirt sheets and the couch makes it feel homey. The little tables and shelves are nice to rest our things. The evening was perfect so we just slept with the ceiling fan on low. Heat or a/c is available, which is nice to have in case it’s chilly or steamy. We built a fire with the available fire starter and wood (there was plenty) and watched the moon and stars drift by as the ducks quacked and the frogs croaked quietly. We didn’t use many of the amenities, but it’s so nice to know they were there: fresh water, coffee, tea, cocoa, mini-fridge, books, games, TV for DVDs, extra seats, shower, mini sink, towels, sheets, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, paddleboat, wooded trails, fish, guinea hens, ducks, and overall general adorableness.
We had to leave after one night, but could stay forever or at least a week. Thanks again for hosting us at your charming cabin!
Such a beautiful property and an adorable cabin. The animals were a delight, particularly the friendly turkey who loves to be petted. It felt like a petting zoo! It was nice to have access to the paddle board and boat to take out on the pond (we used the boat!). The natural setting of the property was so relaxing and refreshing. We loved stargazing by the fire and then playing games and reading up in the loft. Stores are conveniently less than 5 minutes away. We could hear traffic from the road but it wasn’t too busy.
"off the grid" comfort, even luxury
Travel down a quintessential windy country road and arrive at this unique off the grid animal rescue! I was super surprised pulling up to this adorable little dwelling! As soon as I entered, it was like a sigh of relief. This place is so relaxing, even luxurious for a nature lover like myself! It feels so far away, yet so close to the cutest little town you ever did see!
I appreciated all the unexpected comforts, like the coffee maker, mini fridge, and all of the utensils you'd ever need. This thoughtfully designed tiny home feels more like an eco hotel rather than camping, which is exactly what I needed for a restorative solo trip! There's even an easy fire starting kit, and a beautiful outdoor kitchen area! I didn't get to try the antique wood fired stove for cooking, but I vow to next time. Surprisingly my favorite part of this property is on the side of the tiny house. It was the perfect spot to lay down my yoga mat and stretch, and it's totally private where you cannot see the owner's home. I briefly met Amanda when she dropped off eggs and honey for me, and she seemed genuine and warm! The only thing that would make this place better than it already is, would be an additional way to cook like a hot plate or propane stove. But i realize this place is a new non profit farm, so I was seriously impressed at all it has to offer. The owners are clearly passionate! I can't wait to come back!!!
I had so much fun here! Amanda is an absolutely wonderful host. The place was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. Martha the turkey is the sweetest thing ever. I cant wait to come back next year!
