This cabin is a little slice of paradise. Clean, private, beautiful. Every tiny detail has been attended to so that your stay is perfect! The view out front to the pond is so relaxing with the ducks swimming by all day. The hosts are lovely people and give you as much privacy as you like, but are nearby if you need them, or just want to meet them and get introduced to their rescue animals (which I highly recommend!) There are marked trails around the property to explore and some really good restaurants nearby if you want to go out.
The memory foam bed is really comfortable and the wall heater kept us toasty as the temperature dipped below freezing, so we didn’t need any of the extra blankets that are provided.
We can’t wait to go back, but think the word is going to get out about this little treasure and it will be booked months in advance!

We loved our overnight stay in the Songbird Suite and had such a good time. We let ourselves in and immediately felt like we were at home. The suite is designed for every camping or glamping comfort, but with the amenities of a hotel. Our hosts were so kind and friendly—meeting Amanda and Chuck put us at ease right away. It was getting chilly, so they showed us how to operate the propane heater and that kept us warm through the night. There was a tote of fire starting supplies for the fire pit, and later they dropped off a bin of games to add to the indoor activities. The bed was cozy and extremely comfortable, and we woke up refreshed and ready for a walk on the trail through the woods. We met the hens, ducks, and new turkey, too. Songbird Suites is on a farm in the country, yet close to town. We forgot marshmallows for our s’mores; it turns out the grocery store (plus restaurants, offices, parks, and even a farmers market) is less than 2 miles away. It was very easy to leave the cabin the same way we found it. Truly, we had a fantastic experience and want to come back soon! Many thanks!

Amanda and Chuck are great hosts . Friendly, courteous and respectful. Spotted Owl Ranch is an amazing property. Our little cabin by the pond was appointed perfectly. The bed is super comfy. And the cabin was super clean. The decorations match perfectly with our hosts persona. There are ducks in the pond. Chickens and guinea bird that roam during the day. The guinea are especially fun to watch. A rooster you’ll hear occasionally thru the day. But our favorite is a Turkey named “Martha Washington”. If you crouch and wave your hands toward yourself she will come over and let you pet her. She is a sweetheart. We hiked their property. Fished in the pond. I’ll post a picture of one the bass I caught. The firewood and the fire starter kit and coffee provided are just a couple of niceties offered by the hosts. We will definitely be returning. We have tent camped thru hipcamp several times this summer and will continue to do so. But we will be returning to Spotted Owl Ranch for sure. For Pam and I this is what hipcamp is all about. Making new friends is what it’s all about! Thank you Amanda and Chuck for opening up your property to us and the many others. We will be back
Ps Pam says please give Martha a pet from her everyday!

Highly recommend a stay in the Songbird Suite! We are typically tent campers but were looking for an easy one night get-away to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The cabin was so lovely and stocked with coffee, board games, and not to mention very cozy pillows and blankets. Amanda and Chuck were incredible hosts, welcoming and going so far as to decorate the cabin with birthday decorations for our 2 year old! We enjoyed exploring their property via hiking trails, paddle boat and loved meeting all of the friendly animals. We definitely plan to return! Thanks Amanda & Chuck!

What a relaxing place! The Songbird Suite is cozy and charming and was spotlessly clean. While I didn't get a chance to meet Amanda and Chuck, the quality of their hosting was evident through lots of thoughtful touches, like a fire starting kit for the fire pit, which came in very handy. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the pond, watching autumn leaves slowly drift down as the ducks dabbled nearby. It was a wonderful respite and just what I needed.

It was wonderful to just relax and get away. Easily sleeps 4 adults. The best was SO comfy and our doggo Appa enjoyed looking at all of the animals. It is a tad bit close to Amanda’s home, but all our worries dimmed once we met her. She’s amazing and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We will most definitely be returning!

The cabin is very cozy and the location is so peaceful. Wonderful to sit by the pond and have a fire. So much wildlife to see. Picturesque walking trails. Amanda was so helpful and recommended a lovely local restaurant. Lots of interesting things to see and do in the area. I want to go back again.

We loved staying at songbird suite! We loved the trails around the property and when we went fishing, the fish were biting! The ducks at the pond and the chickens roaming the farm were so peaceful and fun. The cabin itself was great too. Quaint and everything we needed. Definitely planning on coming back. Amanda was very helpful.
