Wake up to an open sky in two furnished bell style canvas tent in Ohio’s Wine Country at the woods of Sawdust FarmCamp for a glamping experience! Surrounded by the Sawdust Preserve part of the Natural History Museum of Cleveland. Creeks and valleys borders us on three sides making up the Naturals Areas Program’s 400 acres. Come to relax and read from "Letters From Sawdust"; a book written about these woods. Enjoy a fire in the fire pit with wine from one of the local wineries.
The tents are located on a man made hill above our 3.5 acer pond with stunning views of the sun rise over the pond. One tent has a queen air bed and the other has a padded bunk cot with an additional padded cot. Bring your own pillows bedding or sleeping bags. Both tents are provided with led lighting. If you would like us to provide bedding you can rent it for an additional fee of $15 for each tent.
Fire pit with cooking grate and picnic benches that convert to a table are on site. Some basic cooking utensils and dishes are provided as well as a propane cook stove. First load of wood ($20 for additional loads) and fire starting materials are included in the cleaning fee as well as drinking and wash water. Please use only biodegradable soap provided. Canoe is available to rent at $10 an hour.
You will be sharing the parking area located at the bottom of the hill with our rustic camp guests as well as the pot a potty also found near the parking area.
Short drive to Thompson Ledges 9 mins away for some great rock formations and Thompson Speed Way at 11 mins; Geneva is 15 min, Geneva-on-the-Lake is 25 min. Closest wineries are Debonne and Grand River and many others at about 3.5 miles. Also a dinner on Thompson Square near the Ledges called Stockers on the Park has an awesome Sunday special menu (cash only, ATM available). Trumbull Locker Plant is our small local grocery with a large meat selection is 8 mins away.
