Site 1 - Locus Grove
Nothing fancy just a nice flat piece of land to stay for the night with trees and chicken friends! Owners said they have big plans for it and I think it sounds awesome. Only issue I could see others having is that if you book last minute you might have to just figure it out on where to park as the groundskeeper might not be there at your arrival, and there might be other family members on the property. Overall a cute property with high hopes!

Comes with friendly groundskeeper
This was a nice campsite in a rural location. I thought the description of this campsite indicated that there would be a composting toilet, but when I arrived, I learned that there was no such toilet. The groundskeeper offered to let me use his bathroom in his camper, which I appreciated, but I also didn’t personally feel comfortable entering a stranger’s home. I wish there had been a separate bathroom I could use.
Another thing I wasn’t expecting was for the groundskeeper to be there the whole time. The experience was overall less private than I was envisioning; however, the groundskeeper was very helpful and welcoming.
Overall, I had a good time at this campsite and I think it has a lot of potential. The groundskeeper was telling me about the changes they’re planning to make to the property, so there’s definitely some good stuff in the works.
Locus Grove
really great potential
Lucas Grove has a lot of really great potential. We had a nice time at the property. The property caretaker is extremely kind and social. It is definitely rustic, so having a camper van or RV is the move.

Locus Grove
Locus Grove is a hidden gem 💎 💙
You approach on a private gated driveway with some RV’s along an unpaved drive- a good stretch off of the already quiet dirt road and you reach a larger clearing that makes a great primitive camp spot. The tree line and view of the stars (including the Milky Way dust) is fantastic on this land. It was nice to be breathing the fresh air & getting in touch w/ fertile soil and feel free to be one w/the land.
Will 11/11 recommend this place to good friends.
Upon speaking with the owner I’m eager about the further future developments and upgrades he is bringing to the space! Including a bath house and clearing around a pond/small lake. Overall a very beautiful property.
I felt totally safe and at home the whole time—even with the primitivism & privacy.
Recommend bringing a 7gal water jug, a lantern; in some areas it was kind of dense with overgrowth, extra citronella candles&or permethrin for the gear, leaving the cooler in your car or camper; since I could heard the baby raccoons near by&for other wildlife purposes. It felt like a more off grid experience for me which allowed the time to be that much more meaningful&natural.

Locus Grove
Very private property, overgrown meadow around the property made for a relaxing background noise of insects and other night animals.
