Lovely field option for campers, wooded stream margin for tenters. Hostess is attentive and thoughtful. Adjacent to Little Miami River paddling and biking. A surprising delight.

We would stay again! There were options to camp next to your car in the field or walk into the woods for a spot closer to the river. We enjoyed a paddle and dinner at the nearby bar & grill during this trip, but hope to utilize the bike path that is a short distance from the collaborative in the future. Expect a very clean outhouse in close proximity to all the sites, more seclusion than a typical campground, and positive vibes.

Pro tip: consider booking on a weeknight for a more private experience.

Beautiful, fun place! We just stopped for a like 12 hours but I’d definitely recommend staying longer. Lots of beautiful things set up. Went for a stroll through the garden and along the river. Just lovely.

Lindsey’s Nature Preserve was an absolutely beautiful experience. Lindsey greeted us on our second night(we arrived late the first evening) and was full of knowledge and kindness. Her precise directions allowed us to arrive on site even in the dark, however the first night we camped close to the vehicle ad we did not want to disturb others near the river. I do suggest arriving with plenty of light to ensure you find a place to call home near the river. Lindsey was very gracious, our dogs were spooked at night when she arrived and despite them barking at her and running up to her she still met us with open arms and we couldn’t be more thankful. There are around 4 spots you can set tents up inside of the trail near the river with access to the water down the bank. Water shoes are a must as rivers can track up lots of metal etc, and we used a rope to help one another up the riverbank when it was muddy. This property is great for those who like community and togetherness. If you are looking for solitude other campers are very friendly, and will give you space if that’s what you prefer as well. We collected rocks and made a small fire pit near the rivers edge and drown it when we left. Lindsey also offered her floating tent to us for fishing, camping or just play as well! She was extremely attentive and I would recommend this property!

Things to note:

-There is an outhouse on the left side of the driveway when you pull into the property before you reach the parking area.

-There are a few picnic tables near the parking area as well as a small fire pit and trash bin(I recommend carrying our your trash as we did because it was somewhat full and we were able to take our recycling home this way)

-Bring water shoes if you are planning on swimming or hanging out in the river

-Tent sites aren’t too far from parking and there is a nice trail leading up to each site

A very beautiful location! A couple of friends and I really enjoyed our stay. It is very secluded and surrounded with a lot of trees… The river is also really close which was nice. It’s a beautiful hangout spot!

Tonic True is a beautiful, wooded spot on the Little Miami. I had a great time and will certainly return. Lindsey was communicative and quick to respond. I dig what they are trying to accomplish on the property as well, regarding gardening, nature and creativity. Met a couple cool fellow campers that shared the fire with me, and as alluded to in descriptions and comments of property, it seems that is part of the idea. A highlight for me was the old growth trees present. A few of them were perhaps 4 feet in diameter, which is rare, and very cool. No complaints.

We have stayed here twice now and are looking forward to returning! A great place to escape the busy world, this property is nestled between some GORGEOUS old giant trees, and right alongside a beautiful quiet stretch of the little Miami river. You can sense the love on this land and it inspires you to connect more deeply. the community being created and fostered here is what makes it special, as it really does “take a village” and it feels amazing to be a part of that.
