The Hallstead was a breath of fresh air, we loved it. Donna and Gary were very thoughtful and had everything you’d need ready. Inside of the cabin they had lots of personal touches, you can tell that a lot of great memories have been made there. The property is large, the woods were beautiful and there was even a couple of goats.
Don’t miss it!
The cabin offered everything we wanted in a mini spring break trip close to home - warmth, comfort, a campfire, and lots of stars.
Our kids had a blast sleeping in the loft, meeting the goats and hens, and playing on the small playground set.
We didn't get a chance to meet Donna in person, but she was very responsive and helpful via text.
We had a lovely stay and I would definitely stay here again! The weather was rainy and cold outside, but we were snug and dry at night and got out and explored during the day.
Peaceful farm life!
Lovely little place, close to Gervasi vineyards, Amish county, and beautiful Ohio farmlands. The property has so much to see and explore, like farm animals, small trails etc. It is safe and peaceful.
It is rustic, with no A/C or running water, so be prepared to rough it out a bit :))
We had a lovely stay at the cabin. The cabin was well equipped and they even provided eggs for breakfast! There were a lot of boardgames which we enjoyed playing. We got delayed on our way there and arrived at night but Donna was very understanding. It was easy to find the cabin and it was well lighted at night. We usually go primitive camping so it was very nice to stay at a cabin like this one. The cabin is really pretty and there is a small pond nearby. The bathroom is really close to the cabin and equipped with towels and shampoo and conditioner. It is just a beautiful, peaceful property. They have goats, chickens and two friendly dogs! I highly recommend staying here. We don’t have kids but it looks like kids would really enjoy this spot.
