Excellent communication with Daniel, he answered all my questions and was very accommodating. The property is beautiful and for sure full of lush ferns. If you love being in nature, this is your place. You will hear a variety of owls at night and deer snorts in the morning. A perfect nature experience. Oh, and the lights leading to the site not only help you find the site but also give it a very mystical feel. Definitely recommend

The camping area was amazing. The host is super friendly, makes sure you have everything you need and then left you be. The eggs were amazing. I suggest buying a dozen from him. It’s a perfect place to get away from everything and he in nature.

Ferndell was beautiful! We camped in a secluded spot in a pristine old-growth forest. We had a private composting toilet and a lovely setup for the campfire. I wish there had been a picnic table! But that wasn’t a dealbreaker by any means. This was our first time staying at a hike-in campsite and while we were able to make it work, an older family or anyone with mobility issues would struggle to carry their supplies. Thanks again for a beautiful night! 💙

We loved tent camping on Daniel’s property. The walk through the woods to the site was filled with ferns and springs, and the site itself was secluded and had more than we expected. Daniel was extremely friendly and accommodating, and after the initial meeting left us to enjoy our stay and only offered his help if we needed it. We would absolutely stay again.

We loved Daniel’s fern-filled woods. The site’s amenities made our overnight camping convenient, including a large container of potable water, a private composting potty close by and firewood stacked by the fire pit. Even an early morning spring thunder shower couldn’t dampen our fun.

Food always tastes better outdoorsFerns emerging in springTarp from firewood came in handy when rain started We brought the solo stove but the fire pit has a grate so it wasn’t necessary after all

Our family had a good weekend at fern dale springs. The kids loved playing in the woods and we all enjoyed hiking on the property and at the nearby parks. Daniel was helpful in making sure we had what we needed for the weekend. The farm fresh eggs we purchased were great too!

Really, just a great spot that feels much farther away from civilization than it actually is — which is perfect for a quick overnight, especially with a family. The spot itself was quiet and well maintained with a great cooking set-up, so no-need to bring a ton of equipment. The maple sap lines made for a cool teaching moment with my son, and the turkeys and chickens rounded out the experience. Our host was courteous, communicative, and flexible, and the syrup, eggs, and firewood are a nice touch. We'll be back.

Campfire and string lights at night.

Had the place to ourselves, nice setup, everything we needed. They seemed to do a really great job setting up the campsite - lights, hammock, metal cook station. Would definitely recommend.
