A wonderful place to reconnect. The tipi is both cozy and spacious. The hosts are friendly, helpful, and easy going. Thank you for the thoughtful amenities, immersive experience, and sharing space.

I visited Hocking Hills State Park and I would recommend the area for its dramatic scenery.

I was honored learn about the indigenous history of southern Ohio through personal anecdotes and visiting “the mounds” at the Newark Earthworks. I am very grateful for the experience, definitely recommend!

We loved our stay there and will definitely be back when the weather is little warmer. Carie is a wonderful host and we thank her for opening up her place for us to visit. Our kids loved the concept of living on a "working farm". We got to pet Peaches (baby bison), play with the dogs Zeus and Banjo, and even play with the chickens. Carie was amazing and even let the kids pick out the eggs in the morning from the chicken coop. The tipi offers a unique experience and its HUGE. The photos don't do it justice on how big it is! We were able to fit in 2 queen air matrasses and 1 twin air bed as well. The place is very clean and Carie makes sure you have everything you need.

My daughter and I stayed there. She loved the animals and we got to pet Peaches the baby bison. There was plenty of wood provided and we started pretty warm. We hiked the grounds and our dog loved his off Leash time near the site. It was very special to my daughter and I. It so close to Columbus that it is perfect for a quick overnight.

My family has found our haven away from home. This place was incredible and the tipi IS weatherproof. The host showed us how to close the flaps. It rained on and off all night and we stayed dry and warm with the small fire inside the tipi. We were so excited to hear owls hoot through the night among all the other birds and we think a donkey. The Hosts were wonderful to my kids. We were allowed to collect chicken eggs and meet the baby Bison, Peaches. I wish I was allowed to post pictures because this was the perfect place to cut pumpkins for Halloween and share stories around the fire. I’ve already booked future dates. Can’t wait to come back.

We tried to catch a meteor shower, the meteor shower was a dud but our visit was everything we needed and more. Carie and Jarrod were so welcoming. The little extras are thoughtful and they even have a bin of supplies, just in case you forgot something. They definitely go above and beyond.
The rolling hills are beautiful and you have an awesome view of the bison pasture from camp. They have Free range chickens (the eggs are delicious, my 4 yr old loves them) free range peacocks, a bottle fed baby Bison named peaches, that stole our hearts. Banjo, the coon hound was also very friendly. He even stopped by our camp to say hello. It was adorable!
The tipi was huge and you can see the stars from the air mattress provided. Carie even set up a twin mattress for our daughter, She would go in, lay in the bed and admire the tipi. She absolutely loved it.
We highly recommend Carie’s place if you want a peaceful, relaxing camp. We can’t wait to go back for another visit!

We were honored to be the first to stay at the Bison Ranch Tipi Retreat. Upon arrival, we found beautiful amenities and personal touches like fresh apples and pawpaws along with polished flint stone as a gift. We also enjoyed exploring their farm and watching the bison. It has good proximity to Buckeye Lake and local eateries. Might want to watch the weather because the tipi is not weatherproof. Even with rain we had a great time!! Thank you for sharing with us!

Thank you so much Katie! We have since ordered a rain catcher for inside the tipi that should mitigate future dampness. We appreciate you and your great feedback ☺️
