We had an amazing time at Camp Rosewater. Our family of four had plenty of space in the yurt. We loved having the animals so near us while we enjoyed our campfire. The owners were so kind and accommodating. We’ll definitely be back.
What a perfect getaway! Thank you Lindsay for accommodating us on such short notice. We loved hanging out with all the animals and feeling secluded back along the tree line. The weather was perfect and the temperature inside the yurt was comfortable for our trip. The bed was comfortable and we slept so well! Hoping to come back again for a longer stay!
Relaxing and inviting
The property is beautiful. We loved exploring. There is a little bit of everything thing there. There are different animals, plants, even a greenhouse with some items you can purchase. The yurt is beautifully decorated. It’s easy parking, easy access. It was super relaxing at the end of the night. The town is about 3 miles away and it absolutely adorable. We had some custard and an amazing brunch the next day. We met the owners and they were so nice.
When we arrived and got settled in, I was so excited to spend the evening alone with my husband for our 3 year wedding anniversary. We have 3 kids and little sleep so we really just wanted to relax and sleep in somewhere quiet and surrounded by nature. All was well until it came time to go to sleep. The owners dog sat about 25 feet away in the pasture and barked for a solid 2 minutes every 5-10 minutes, for hours. From 10 pm until I finally couldn't take it anymore and we packed up and left at 2 AM. It was a disaster and I ended up getting less sleep on our "yurt cation" than I would at home with a baby keeping me up. I wanted to love this, I really did and I'm sad to leave a not so positive review but this was our experience and unfortunately I won't be recommending to friends :( Hopefully this feedback will help others and some changes will be made to the pup's location at night so campers can enjoy their stay.
