Camp Creek Hideaway
Definitely coming back!
We had a restful retreat here at Gina’s. Exactly what we were looking for. The hiking trail is long and steep enough but not far with little secret spaces to camp in. I’m thinking of camping further out next time. I think the trail would also be really cool to mountain bike on. The creek is clear and beautiful to listen to at night and in the morning. Lots of birds singing and leaves rustling. The creek also has a few deeper spots to cool off in and some nice size rocks to bask in the sun. We brought our dogs and they had such a fun time exploring. Love the large fire pit. The outhouse was convenient and new.
I’m excited to come back!

Camp Creek Hideaway
Creek, surrounding land = special
Drove down for a little day camping and loved it.
Side note, the drive down from Columbus was an adventure. Make sure you connect with Gina, who was awesome, prior to your trip for directions.
What is really special about this place is the creek and the woods that surround it. Beautiful slate, clear water, and ample space makes for ideal relaxation.
Gina let us know that there are level spots in the woods next to the creek that people could put tents on and also build fires. Given how cold it was supposed to be last night, I decided not to go this route but I'm going to explore it when I go back.
You don't need an RV to stay.
If you're looking for total privacy, this place won't be for you, especially in the winter months. When the leaves are on the trees, I suspect this would change if you're looking to stay in the wooded land by the creek.
Will be back. Good vibes all around.
