The site was private with plenty of secluded space with a very scenic view next to the Grand River.
Firewood was provided upon arrival and the site was well maintained.
There is plenty of room to explore and make the place your own.
Rick was great and I am looking forward to my next trip already!
Great experience!

Beautiful spot to spend some time!
Our group thoroughly enjoyed camping here! It is like an arboretum with such a large variety of large trees and wildflowers. We enjoyed the resident hawks and turtles and catch and release fishing. We hiked the paths, played in the lake with the provided watercraft as well as our own, had a nice time around the fire and meals in the picnic shelter. Rick stopped in to share the history and check on us. How great that the family has chosen to share this gem of a property. We will definitely be back!
Camped at “big bend” & “deep woods”
(Site 2 & site 3). Our 2 days stayed at Rick’s property was incredibly thrilling & exciting while we were in the process of discovering & exploring. His primitive site met beyond our expectation. We hiked trails, crossing 3 bridges was fun, walked along the river & read few signs that he put out there we were able to follow through directions atleast without having a map at hand. We were so hiked up carrying backpacks knowing we had a real deal. We carried smile on our faces instead of worrying. Those very scenic woods, wild life, wildflowers, carved valleys, ledges, rocks, & stream of the water along the way reminded me in a very tropical vibes. All I had was full of excitement! Just missing to see a wild fruit tree! When we finally located site 3(Deep woods) Thought my little heart jump more into finding a desirable place! The scenic woods, peacefulness, & the seclusion I found a perfect sanity! I can’t thank enough to our great host for having us there as his 1st hipcampers to booked & explore. Love seeing lightning bugs, dragon flies, butterflies, centipede, stork, rabbit, frogs, deer tracks, mushrooms, & found a nefty rocks along the river. Oh we enjoyed the firewood that Rick provided for us as well on each site! Our 2 nights was a little sketchy during dark hours but we slept peacefully in our tent & safe. Thanks for your great courtesy and offering manner if need anything we can call or message. We shall return! Highly recommend! 😊

The primitive site of Rick was spectacular! Beyond my expectation! Specially when we head out to site 3 the next day. As we hiked from site 2 where we booked our 1st night there! We arrived very late it took us a while to gather our necessities for our undecided plan for that night. Original plan was Saturday. Glad we did because the host was so welcoming, friendly, & accommodating to his guest! He personally meet us that night to greet & welcome us in his property when we arrived there and guide us as well to locate our site. It was dark out already but our worries went away because he made us felt so comfortable in his place. From there He told us a little history about the property where it was coming from. What it is about & what it can offer. While having a nice conversation all I had was out pouring excitement that everything will be good. Just by having a short walked in the back woods while guiding us through. Lightning bugs were so enlightening as well. I haven’t been home in the Philippines for so many years now. I grew up seeing them. Part of my childhood. I got carried away. Made me speechless. Thought I was home for a bit. I always thought they were so magical & enchanting. It’s been quite a while. Then the starry sky was just dazzling..Thought I was dreaming that night but seriously. The view was mesmerizing! We were the first hipcampers there to explore or discovered his primitive site! We were so thrilled ! More features & details to tell…
