What a beautiful spot! Possibly the prettiest hip camp I've ever stayed out Riebart was super communitive and helpful. I could not recommend this spot highly enough. Thanks Riebart!!

What a beautiful, secluded spot. We had the whole field to ourselves and enjoyed a quick dip in the lake. The path down was solid even after quite a bit of rain and we settled near the lake at a level spot.
Raibeart and his family couldn’t be friendlier and brought us fresh biscuits. What a wonderful spot- with wonderful humans.

A beautiful, peaceful spot to spend the night. Well worth the drive.
We couldn’t resist stopping a second time on our trip around Cape Breton area. Raibeart has such a wonderful location. Wonderful hospitality. He walked down and shared some wonderful biscuits and jam and a yummy treat. As well as 5 hen eggs. It was great to chat with him and learn more about the family land. It was a bit muddy getting out after an inch of rain the night before. But Raibeart and his Dad were ready to help if we needed it. The rain and wind didn’t stop us from enjoying his little slice of heaven.

Raibeart has a beautiful piece of property along the shoreline of
Bras d’ Or Lake. He was able to meet up with us to tell us how to get to the site. It’s just a short drive through a grassy field. He had firewood setup in a fire pit with a great view. He promised a great sunset. And it was. The loons were calling in the evening, never saw them. And the peepers were chirping away. We Walked along the beach was also nice with the clear water and stone bottom. We also walked the next morning up the creek by the house across the street and saw the old remnants of a the family grist mill. The cell Phone coverage is spotty in the area. So it’s easy to disconnect. Raibeart said he was new to Hipcamp. But he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. We are self contained. But he did offer a washroom if we needed it. We unfortunately left to early in the morning. But he later texted us and offered homemade biscuits and quail/hen eggs. We will be back. Can’t resist that. Our senior dog loved to lay by the firepit and also roll I the grass and even got So energy to run in the field for a few minutes. She was so happy.

Great spot to set out and see the highlands from.
