Park under a shady red maple tree alongside manicured turf grass patio area, nestled between two historic Rocky Point Boarding Homes and feel the energy of past travelers coming and going. The now closed section of the Atlantic Coastline Railway had a stop just 100yds away; both homes circa 1901 boarded workers in the early tree farming and agricultural development of our cape fear region. Count the tree rings of various siding boards at your campsite to see how old this heart pine forest was! Park with the Elegant Colonial architecture framing your campsite!

This site is located just steps away from a shared space that includes the outdoor shower (cold), clawfoot tub (cold soak/ice bath), and the steamer. If power is needed, you can rent a 100 ft. extension cord from hosts. You'll also be parking right nearby the communal back porch, where you can take advantage of the grill, lounge furniture, and beautiful view of our property. Feel free to swing on the swings, lay in the hammocks, rock in the chairs, and sit under any ol' tree you wish as you enjoy the outdoor common-spaces of the entire property.

What a lovely property and people hosting it. The history of the place is wonderful to learn about and the land is full of interesting plants and trees. Plenty of room to turn around even my 12 passenger and with a 12' trailer. Great for kids and pets. Would definitely stay again.
