Tar River Tent Camping(1-3 tents)

Very nice campground. Very rustic. Lots of space between sites. Dirt road getting in is a bit rough. Would definitely camp there again.

Great site, pretty secluded, very nice folks! The gate to get there is a little hidden, but with a keen eye you can find it! There is hardly any cell reception (at least not for me), but who needs technology when you’re in the woods!

The sites were beautiful, level, equipped with a picnic table and trash can. Would definitely camp here again. Carla was super friendly and accommodating!

Great camping spot. Carla was nice, met us at the gate, checked us in, and dropped by daily to see if we needed anything. We felt very welcomed by her. The site itself was by the river, shaded, quiet, and had a fire pit and table. The trees were close together and sturdy enough to hang a hammock. At night the sound of the river was soothing. Would recommend. We camped with our dog and he loved it, was able to avoid overheating, and had lots of space to move around in within the campsite.

We stayed three nights for our Anniversary and absolutely loved it!! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained by a group of amazing People! We will be back!!

Loved camping right next to the river! Sites were next to each other but trees provided great privacy. Old train track area was very pretty and cool to see. Nikki was very friendly and provided great hospitality!

We made a pit stop at Tar River Life on our way down to Myrtle Beach for a long weekend. Karla was super helpful upon our arrival. We showed up after hours, but she was quick to answer the phone and guide us to our campsite. We only had 3 tents, but easily could have fit 3 or 4 more. It was right on the Tar River, private, clean, and had a nice sized firepit. They also provided plenty of firewood which is a great touch.

This was a great place to relax and unwind! Carla was so friendly and amazing in showing us to our site and checking to make sure we didn't need anything! The site was quiet, clean, large, right on the river and everything that was described. The fishing was fun! We even saw a river otter!! We had an amazing weekend and are booking to come back this upcoming weekend again. Highly recommend!
