- Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will no longer have the beds made up for you in the cabins. The clean bed linens will be there (in a bag on the bed) for you to use. We encourage you to bring linens from home to better improve your safety instead of using what we provide. Also, keep in mind, we do not provide towels so you will need to bring those for sure.

When you enter Smoky Mountain Meadows Campground, you can leave all the “rush-rush” of your daily life behind. You will find yourself in a beautiful valley with quiet green meadows and a bubbling brook encompassing your surroundings. When you rise in the morning with dew on the grass, the birds singing, and the aroma of coffee brewing while bacon sizzles, you will feel a quiet peacefulness beyond your imagination. When you return after a day of kayaking, biking, site-seeing, relaxing, etc., you will find the same peacefulness you experienced in the morning. The smells from the wood burning campfire will whet your appetite for a tasty meal, even prepared at your campsite. Sleep comes naturally from the clean mountain air – Sweet Dreams!

We had a wonderful time staying in the Dogwood cabin this weekend. The area is serene and so beautiful! There was a small creek in front of the cabin that our pups enjoyed playing in and we loved hearing as we drifted to sleep. Everything was very clean and the facilities were great!

If you’re searching for a family-oriented, creekside Hipcamp, and enjoy camping with all the conveniences and amenities of a traditional RV campground, Smoky Mountain Meadow Campground may be the perfect place for you.
SMMC’s property has a lot to offer. Full-time living is certainly possible here as all one’s basic, modern day necessities are provided; Wi-fi, laundry, shower, recreation areas, water and electric hook-ups--- SMMC has them all.
During our short stay at SMMC, my husband and I lodged in a modest cabin overlooking the creek. The cabin could cozily accommodate four people sleeping. The beds were comfortable and provided a sound night’s sleep. Climate control and a mini-fridge were a welcomed bonus.
Outside, a fire pit and picnic table completed the set-up. Both the guests and the staff at SMMC are friendly and personable. Good, respectful neighbors seem to be the norm here. You can expect a quiet, tranquil atmosphere.
Should your aim be to recreate without ‘roughing it’, SMMC is a fine choice.

Cabin was nice. Had a small stream right in front
Beautiful peaceful QUIET valley close to Bryson City
Susan is a great host and the property is beautiful! This was my first stay at a camping site and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The peace, quiet and the feeling of being closer to nature was amazing. The only think that stuck out like a sore thumb was the soiled toilets (men's). It could really use some vigorous cleaning. Besides that we were extremely well taken care of and made to feel very welcome. Extra points for helping us with directions since GPS was not accurate.
