Due to mountain terrain driving, we do not recommend class "A" motor coaches or large toy haulers. All roads are paved to our graveled driveway.
Sorry there is no tent camping available.
If you have a pop up then make sure you have a porta potty, we may ask to see one. Sorry we have no restroom!
Note: It is suggested that class "C" RV's bring or rent a vehicle because parking can be limited due to others during the tourist season and especially on the weekends. We are very isolated. Rentals (Enterprise Car Rentals) are available in Franklin, NC about 20 miles away. Make reservations as soon as possible. They have limited inventories and a high demand during all seasons.Because we are a smaller campground and the sites are different sizes we can not guarantee your site selection you chose while making your reservation request. When you arrive you'll have a chose of what sites are available. The host will reserve sites for the larger RV's.

Hidden gem in scaley mountain
This campsite was absolutely perfect for our 25ft travel trailer with one slide. The ride up the mountain was adventurous but fairly easy since Peter (the host) provides great directions. Peter walked us to site 5, out of 6 sites. Each site has full hookups and wood for a campfire is free! We took our dogs and at least 3 others in sites did too. There’s plenty of distance between sites. We loved it here and will most certainly be back!
Host with the most!
The host with most. Peter greeted us, helped us get settled and was super nice. We watched as he welcomed and settled each camper in the perfect spot for them. Even the ones that came in after dark and it was dark!
This was our 2nd stay at Sky High Ridge RV Campground. If you are lovers of unique plants, have an appreciation of nurturing endangered plant species native to North America, you will love this place. The owner works with various environmental groups to preserve native plants and educate campers on rAre plants by posting ID signs on numerous unique plants not commonly known or seen by most. We love this place and will be back soon!
Diamond in the not-so rough
We had a great stay at Sky High Ridge. We were the only Campers there due to forecasted storms but we ended up getting very lucky with the weather. We actually slept with our windows open in the middle of August which was a huge treat. Peter was great about giving us a tour of the farm and made helpful suggestions for things to do & places to eat. We will definitely be back.
Tranquil mountain escape
We truly enjoyed our stay here! Peter was extremely welcoming and helpful setting up and with recommendations! Got to pick whichever site we wanted and the free firewood was a huge bonus. The peace and quiet is hard to compete with! Would highly recommend for anyone looking to beat the crowds. Tons of cool waterfalls, trails and adventures within a 30-40 minute drive.
